It does and driver.
Its funny how a leaidng team mate in any team, usually has less faikures. For a start there driving is better and thus less stress, secondly theyre in cleaner air and thus less stress on the car etc.

It sums this f1 season up when Vettel's race engineer comes over the team radio and tells him to not drive at the limit and has to look after his tyres.

We want to see record lap times being set and driving at the limit, not tyre management.

It's obviously because he's so mind blowingly good he drives it in a special magical way which means he's less likely to suffer issues
