David Moyes came to Gladbach with Sascha Breese, right hand of Volker Struth, owner of "SportsTotal".They look after Tony Kroos
Rummenigge this week on Kroos: - We try to extend his contract (15), but we haven't agreed yet.

Kroos would be a brilliant signing. The above comes from BILD and Kicker in Germany so it appears to be accurate.

You honestly have to be 100% a troll, no one can be that stupid surely?

Rafael should have won young player of the season last season, as he was absolutely fantastic. He is still young, and is still learning. He can attack and his defending isn't the worst in the league.

He is one of our most consistent (when fit) and promising players!

You do know you said the exact reason why you need a right back in your post, while calling someone else a troll.

Rafael is injured all too often, as Fabio has been. While it's not a certainty or anything there is at least some chance that if Fabio leaves for another club/country long term that Rafael may want to. Either way, no top club will be successful without back up to their best players even if they are almost always fit, when they are relatively frequently injured then a better backup is normally required.

When the club has relatively frequently played a god awful right winger as an even worse right back due to lack of options, the club certainly needs a right back.

It wouldn't matter if Utd had Zabaleta or Ivanovic, you still need a second right back.... Utd's is currently either Valencia or Smalling, one who is truly awful at right back the other is constantly injured.

I like Rafael a lot but considering how long he has been playing 1st XI games he IS far too hot headed, which was too ge expected when he was younger but he should be learning from his mistakes which doesnt appear to be the case.

Along with that he does appear to spend quite some time out injured. Im not as convinced by his potential as this tike last year. Very valuable part of the squad for the next year ( to see if these can be improved upon) but maybe not automatic 1st choice for much longer.

Given its nearly the end of the window - this deal mentioned in the 1st week or so " which will take 2-3 days to complete, so we are going after other targets first" supposedly for Garay, as very little to nothing has come out since - total bs or something that we will see more of next week?

As before, while good players, you can't play them all at once and their favoured role(rooney's when fit) isn't the key place needing to be fixed at all, which is what Kagawa/Mata/Kroos are all best. Would be mental to attempt to buy 2 players for a position that is covered. Of course, if Rooney was sold and Mata/Kagawa became the first choice no.10, you still have the other as very good back up.

Really the only way to get away with two weaker/smaller wingers is in a rather City like system, 4-4-2 with exceptionally strong central midfielders and strikers who are brilliant.

Kroos/Mata wide, but with the current central midfield, that team would be painfully easily out played. a 4-5-1 you'd have to be putting one of them as a central midfielder and again you'd still want 2 exceptionally good central midfielders to have that many lightweight attackers in the team.

When Yaya was out and when Barry wasn't playing well last year Silva/Nasri looked crap, because there was no fight, no drive between midfield and attack, particularly with their one striker strategy even if they knocked it long there was no support for a striker often asked to do everything alone.

I was under the impression Kroos is very good playing in central midfield, I haven't watched much Bayern of late so I'm not sure where Pep has him.

We've been linked to Garay loads over the past few transfer windows, it's likely we do have some sort of interest in him. Zenit wanted him but he wanted to come to us, rather than go there, so it hasn't materialised. From what I've read it certainly seems possible but you'd expect Moyes would be doing everything he can to get in a central midfielder. It doesn't even have to be anyone incredible, just with Carrick out for a month and everyone else being so poor, it'd be good to get someone in.

Still no good or decent source for us getting any one in, I can't believe has been or seems to been no urgency from us our depth is poor the teams around us battling for fourth have better depth and it's what will if anything cause us to miss out on 4th. :( I'd actually like us to recall Borini just due to aspas being worse. Have noticed just by looking now were linked to a guy called romolou (sp) from spartak but people say he is very injury prone and been out 18 months :s

I agree, but its not like our centre halves have set the world alight either so getting Garay done and dusted would still be better than focusing on players/ agents Utd have barely spoken to yet

Reports that Zaha deal to Cardiff is still being held up, not sure if this has anything to do with Cardiff trying to decide whether Fabio is worth buying or not ( given that Cardiff cant have 2 loaned players from the same parent club)

Not that I doubted Ogden but this must be genuine then!

Manchester United have opened talks with Wayne Rooney over a new deal that could keep the striker at Old Trafford for the rest of his career.

Manchester United have opened talks with Wayne Rooney over a new deal that could keep the striker at Old Trafford for the rest of his career.

Rooney, 28, is considering an offer that would make him the highest paid player in United's history.

The England striker is in the final 18 months of his £250,000-a-week contract and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho remains interested in signing him.

United and Rooney hope to conclude contract talks in the coming week.

Rooney, who joined United from Everton in August 2004, is fourth-highest goalscorer in United history.

If we can get Rooney signed up to a new deal that would be excellent and stop all this speculation over his future. I know clubs/players sign new contracts to keep their price up but I can't see anyone paying a massive figure for him. He's also got the chance to be our all time top scorer and with further strengthening there's no reason we can't return to the top of the league or thereabouts - much work to be done before then however.

That's great news assuming it happens :)

Quick, on SSN now they're showing a side door at Old Trafford through which Mata might go through later.

Yes, outside a hospital he may or may not end up at. I thought all medicals were taking place at Carrington from now on, but perhaps not. Those 2 reserved car parking spaces were obviously for the 'United delegation'. In fairness the guy did say he was just guessing. :p

Is it this door? :D

PSG ready record Messi bid

Paris Saint-Germain are planning to meet the €250 million [£207.3m] release clause on the contract of Barcelona star Lionel Messi in the summer.

No matter how good Messi is, if someone is willing to pay 200m, you can't say no. Don't see it happening... ever.

Yes

Even if a club is willimg to pay it, I doubt either club would force any player to leave and Messi is SO unlikely to want to go to Paris, it makes no difference
