No question they'd want 2 players for each position but you'd have thought they'd have brought a younger player in instead, who would initially cover Zabaleta with the view to replacing him in the long term.

I suppose it's possible that they could shift Zabaleta over to the left. He's played there a fair few times before and he's far better than both Clichy and Kolarov.

He is injured a lot though, so no doubt we will sign him and he can help train the next lot of Arsenal's medical team.

Sagna will do a Clichy, Poldy will go back to Germany, Kalstrom will go back, we may lose Vermalean. I hope Bendtner goes anywhere. If Carzola gets a decent offer I think we would sell him which would be a shame.

I would like to see Fabianski get a good club because he is a good goalkeeper and I for one will miss him. He plays very well whenever shez messes up and gets replaced. We may need to get x2 keepers as Viviano is only a loanee.

As for players coming in, we need a new RB, ST and a new RW/LW. A good solid DCM to learn from Flamini as he has been one of our best players this season. And if we do lose TV5 a new CB as I can't see Djorou (sp) coming back.p and Miguel needs a couple more years.

Would also be nice to see some of our loanees play for us Joel Cambell and Wellington mainly.

As for what we will get, who knows.

If I'm honest I've not gave it much thought. It's just a bit of a hunch.

There's been sketchy reports that we've bid for him a couple of times in the past 2 years and I just get the impression he's somebody Rodgers would enjoy working with.

I don't think he's quite as bad as you suggest Pigeon but as we've seen with Flanagan, technique and composure is something Rodgers can work on. He's got all the physical raw materials to be a very good attacking fullback.

As for what happens with Flanagan, Johnson and where he fits in. I can only ever see Flanagan being cover, at best. I've been surprised with how he's developed this season but he still offers little to nothing from an attacking point of view and we're a side that requires our fullbacks to provide width in the final third. Johnson's an interesting one - everything's up in the air with him at the moment because of his contract situation. I hope a compromise is reached and we keep him but fullbacks are the biggest area of improvement for us this summer. I'd like to see us sign both a RB and LB with Johnson competing for and covering both roles. Richards could be that RB but he could also be an option as the right sided CB if we play 3 at the back too, which we have done a fair few times.
 
Kelly has no future with us and I doubt we'll take up the option to buy Cissokho so that leaves us with Enrique, Flanagan, Johnson and Wisdom.

Johnson sucked mid season but in fairness he was playing with an injury and he's improved massively since coming back so I'd like to keep him but the other three can all be improved on in one way or another.

I would certainly be concerned if we got in to the Champions League and had to play Enrique and/or Flanagan in games with card happy European refs.
 
Exactly. Flanagan and Wisdom are fine for making up the numbers but with Kelly, Cissokho and hopefully Enrique leaving, we need to bring 2 first team standard fullbacks.
 
I would like Richardson at Liverpool, said it before but he fits the mold of signings FSG likes. Young and highly rated but lost his way in recent seasons..
 
Apparently Arsenal have signed Josip Drmic for next season. Never heard of him but looks good from the videos of him. But then again everyone looks good in those videos lol
