We'll sell hernandez he doesn't get much action in Moyes team.
He'd want to leave if he wasn't guaranteed starts or lots of time on the pitch. And I would think Moyes would want to start making a team of his own and perhaps doesn't see Hernandez as good or important enough a player to stay like Rooney/RVP/Januzaj etc.

Spurs have launched another move for the Ukraine winger, who was targeted by Premier League rivals Liverpool during the January transfer window

Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk president Ihor Kolomoyskyi claims he is in contact with Tottenham over the possible summer transfer of Yehven Konoplyanka and believes the player could sign a contract with the north Londoners soon.

The winger was a January target for Liverpool, with chief executive Ian Ayre even flying out to Ukraine in an attempt to seal the deal on transfer deadline day.

Liverpool's bid failed, though, and Spurs are now moving to gazump their Premier League rivals.

And Kolomoyski claims he would rather sell Konoplyanka to Spurs – as London life is “preferable to Liverpool.”

"I have contact with the Tottenham chairman [Daniel Levy]. I am talking with him,” Kolomoysky told Ukrainian TV channel '2+2' .

“He is interested in Konoplyanka. We are in the stage of negotiations and are perhaps close to signing a contract if Yehven agrees.

"I would choose Tottenham - London - not Liverpool. There are matches only once or twice a week, and at other times he will still need somewhere to live. I believe London life is preferable to Liverpool."

Konoplyanka scored against Spurs in Dnipro's 1-0 victory in the Europa League earlier in the season.

It's far from certain that we'll still be in for him come the summer. With CL footie and more cash to spend, the amount of potential targets for us will be far greater than it was in January.

lol you liverpool fans don't forget where you were not so long ago and if a huge bid comes in for suarez everything can change.

I'm unsure if you mean:

Not so long ago - 25 years ago being the best club in the country

Not so long ago - 15 years to 5 years ago - champions league winners, consistently in the competition, consistently in the top 4 in the league, etc

Or

Not so long ago - these last 2 seasons, building a new team for the next 5 years in order to return to consistent top 4 football in the champions league, and being linked this season to the title - as a real genuine contender (not that I'm sure I agree, top 4 is fine)

Which one is it ?

It astounds me that 3 years of not being in the top 4 makes people forget how big a club liverpool is. Anyone who suggests they are not one of the best clubs in the country is a total idiot. Trolling or not, you have to accept they are a headline fixture team.

We did alright without him at the start of this season...he's not the be all and end all of our squad by any stretch of the imagination. Anyway, at least we're not playing Spurs' imaginative brand of football and putting as many fast players on the pitch as possible and hoping something clicks.

Edit: To be honest Baz, everything I've seen of Konoplyanka has really impressed me. His close control is incredible. He's not as good a player, but with the ball at his feet he looks like Messi. Irrespective of how much we have to spend, I'd love to sign him.

This is absolutely ridiculous if it's true:

The 31-year-old has already rejected two offers to stay, the latest a two-year option on the same £60,000-a-week he earns at the moment.

Make-or-break talks are in the diary but Sagna wants three years at more than £90,000 a week, plus a £6m signing-on fee to be paid in annual instalments.

The article doesn't have a single quote from Sagna or his agent so it could be a load of rubbish but if it is true in what world does he think he's worth anywhere near that? If he really won't settle for £60,000 a week for the next two years then he can bugger off and we'll play Jenkinson there, he's the better player in my opinion anyway.

It took four years for Sagna to learn you can hit a cross first time rather than control it, slow the play down and wait for the defender to get in position to block it, he's still yet to learn how to defend.

Time to get in someone decent, a huge number of the goals we've conceded have been down to him being MIA. So often the cb's are scrambling across to cover for the lack of him being in position which opens us up.

However it should be pointed out that at this point 90k a week is really relatively little for a first team starter in a top 4 club. It's not outrageous he wants that as Wenger starts him every game available, at any other top four club in the top four leagues he'd have broken 100k a week a long while ago (presuming another club didn't replace him years earlier which most other clubs would have).

Jenks, as with most players like him, at his age when you've barely played for a couple years he doesn't look anywhere near as sharp. He needs a couple months of starts just to have an idea of how good he is now when in form. He looked okay, with potential but not really a starter if you really want to win things.

One thing Utd may be thankful for while missing out on CL football next season.....Cavani to Utd for £80m  (meant to be a "done deal" if Utd get CL qualification LOL)

Great , hard working, player no doubt - but that fee would be far too much (I wouldnt be happy on anyone at Utd agreeing the £54m~ PSG signed him for let alone £26m extra)

(if that included ~4 years of wages, then Im guessing that would be a transfer fee of around £50m or so, and its just sensationalist headlines - would much prefer to base things around Rooney/ Mata rather than an extrmemely expensive striker where moeny can be best spent elsewhere, without causing existing problems of how to fit everyone in and work effectively)

The press love selling our players, at this rate we'll have no team next season.

Lallana - Manu
Shaw - Manu/Chelsea
Gallagher - Chelsea
Chambers - Arsenal
Schneiderlin - Arsenal
Lovren - United

I do not think Jenkinson is better yet, but I would rather see Sagna gone and for us to get a new RB.

I just hope Wenger splashes big on a striker. That is what we need. As much as I like Giroud, he is not good enough to be our number one striker. Maybe sell him, or keep him as 2nd choice if he is happy in that role.

It looks like Sagna might end up making the familiar journey from the Emirates to the Etihad:

If City really are willing to give him a 3 year deal (and no doubt a big pay rise), it's difficult to see him staying at Arsenal now.

Strange one for City though. Zabaleta's arguably been the best RB in the League over the last few seasons and Sagna's not exactly going to be his long-term successor.
