Washed my car today just so I could try out my wheel woolies...they are mint. Used so many expensive brushes from other companies such as Meguiars and none of them even get close!
Not sure how the prices fare against online stuff, but I was in Halfords today and cleaning products are all 3 for 2. They sell some decent Meguires stuff and whatnot so maybe someone might find the deal worthwhile.
Depends on the product really. Some state that you can spray on while wet, and it will both aid the drying and give some protection, while others state only to be used when dry.
Thanks for the tip, but sadly it feels like it's the plastic pole its mounted to that's got a bit too much girth (snigger). Shall have to keep an eye out for something else to do that job
I know everyone gets excited about beading and it does look cool, but I'm not mistaken in thinking that beading is far worse than water sheeting off your car am I?

It is true, what you want is both good beading and water sheeting. Have a listen to some of AMMO NYC car detailing podcasts (download from iTunes/shoutengine).
Jason Rose from Meguiars makes some good points that they offer a lot of different options. He states that they could make a product that beads like crazy but what you really want is water sheeting...
Same goes for car shampoo. He says that Meguiars could quite easily make a shampoo with a million suds but thats not necessarily the best thing for your car.
It is only beading like that as those shots are on the roof and the rear. The sides have literally no water on them, the water just beads and rolls off.
Here's a video of Sonax BSD after 2 months. Not a great video as i couldn't see the screen.
I love this stuff so much ill be getting 5 liters of it next time.
I have recently had my windscreen changed and during the install the fitter has managed to get some Primer on my paintwork. Presumably when he opened an new bottle.
They have offerd to have it taken to the bodyshop they use at their cost but I would prefer to try and get it off rather than having the area resprayed.
So far I have tried the following to get it off:
Trix
Autoglym Intensive Tar Remove
Autoglym Paint Renovator
Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Meguiars Claybar Kit
Has anyone got any other suggestions for getting this stuff off?
