Watch Dogs

It just goes to show that you don't need a display with a higher res to appreciate stuff which is natively higher.

I mean 4K looks absolutely stunning on my 1080P, I don't think I'll need to upgrade my TV for a long time because I can see the benefits of 4K clearly on it.

I paid £799 for my 50" GT50. I want a similar bargain when I finally go UHD whether that be 4K or 8K, I would want a 60" OLED UHD screen for under £1K.

I heard good things about the GT50 but can't seem to find one in 55". Not sure if it's out?
Half the sites don't even load at work so could just be that. Looking fora 55 or 60" TV in the next couple of weeks. Bought a 47" LED (which looks stunning) in December but it's too small

I'll buy WatchDogs anyway. Closest, imo, to the GTA5 that a lot of people are clamouring for on XB1/PS4.

rp2000

I hope it would play as good on GTA5, I honestly think its not going to live up to it only because GTA was THAT good.

I've had this pre ordered for the last couple of months, and just found out that there is already dlc...wtf

I really hate this kind of dlc, I don't want to buy half a game, might cancel my order, disgusting

Yes? Why do you think a better visual experience does not improve the game?

Not particularly, obviously it's nice but it's not going to stop my preorder. Eg 900 to 1080 is not noticeable difference when in motion.

I think that graphics settings are very subjective. Some people seem to not really notice and others instantly notice, this is especially true with framerates I find. I can instantly tell when a game is running at 30fps and I find it frustrating usually.

This is the first generation we have ever had where people are more concerned with the resolution than anything else. I didn't get an N64 with Goldeneye 'cos it was 320×272.

yes but the generation before N64 didn't advertise their consoles with 'HD' output (like PS3 + 360) then the following generation, N64, (ps4 + one) advertise HD then release their game with 320 x 272 (900p, 720P, ps4 one respectively).

just get a PC.

Enjoy :p

Agreed. Luckily I'm in the poverty camp and don't mind a game as long as it plays 30fps and the Ui and party char etc are working on my xbox one.

not being 'elitist' but if its such a big deal for some people then get a decent PC.

multiplats on PC, exclusives were applicable.

i experienced 1200P, 60fps in 2008.

the fact these consoles are struggling shows poor longevity for them both, IMO.

You realise resolution is purely a number that "gamers" feel quantify the graphics?

Ie source engine half life 2 at 1080p won't look as nice as crysis at 900p, add in some nice smoothing effects and job done.

However yes if you want the best pay way more for a high powered pc and enjoy.

I have a PC thanks, and it is pretty decent if I do say so myself. But this is the console forum, says so right at the top of the page. We all know a PC can do better graphics (but then my graphics card cost almost as much as the PS4), but this is the console forum.

I don't know what platform I will get Watchdogs on, probably XB1 but I might get it on PC. I'm also tempted, if i find a decent deal, to get it with a PS4. But when I do choose, number of pixels will not be high on my list of pros and cons.

fair enough.
