Chances of UKIP winning General Election?

So why don't get a job anywhere in the EU? or any other country?
And anyone that comes in to the UK will take what homes are left away from the btits.

Well have you ever considered they want to come to a country in the G7, a country with the oldest democracy in the world, where freedoms of speech, self expression, religion etc etc are about as ingrained as anywhere else in the world?

Basically they see that by hanging under a lorry, stowing away in an aircrafts landing gear, paying vast sums of money to be trafficked here they could possibly feed from the crumbs we leave on the table?

Basically, they're coming here because here is awesome.

There's 2 ways we can combat that, 1.. lock the doors. Well we're trying that and it's not working. or 2, maybe try and make the rest of the world a bit better? Put more money into development, maybe make entering the country legally a bit easier etc etc.

And if you think these people coming here working for well under minimum wage living 10 to a house are anything to do with our speculative housing bubble you're living on a different planet.

If we make the rest of the world "nicer" our quality of life would drop drastically...

Just imagine we start paying every worker in the East a minimal UK wage per hour (which isnt even that high compared to some EU countries)

We`d be dead.

Yes people want to come and obtain what we have whilst eroding what we have, be that wealth or freedom.

When they have finished and we have nothing left they will pick another country to feed off. If we let them.

I would like to see ukip do well, not because I like them or all their policies, but as a way of being able to regain the attention of politicians. For too long the issue has been ignored, all sensible debated shouted down as bigoted/racist/something phobic etc

The past few years have shown the instability of the euro and indeed it is only a very recent occurance where we all get along!

As part of a diversified global world we have a duty to protect the interests of our nations. Because like in life, no one takes care of you.

If we succumb to the idea that it is all happy clappy, we will see the remaining resources be used up, land space eroded, population massively increase, as well as a rise in tensions between communities who have been let in willy nilly and who may have diametrically opposed views to their new neighbours.

And this isn't an issue facing just the UK, it is the case all over Europe, especially where I live. We have politicians who are debating all the topics they want, not that lots of us want.

You only have to see the smear campaign against anyone who speaks out to realise how hard a battle it is to make progress.

actually you know what, you've changed my mind... **** 'em.

Why do they keep calling anti-eu parties far right, elmarko you have the populist opinions to some extent, can you explain the rationale behind labelling anti-eu parties in europe far right?

From my perspective being anti-eu is not far right at all, by any interpretation of the left right political dichotomy labelling anti-eu parties far right makes no sense. To me it seems like the only reason the media labels anti-eu parties far right is because the pro eu parties and the media (who are generally pro eu) want to associate their political opponents with racism and bad states from the past who they also falsely label far right.

Now the EU wants a few more billion £ per year and the eu said its for growth and jobs. Growth of the EU and jobs for the EU bureaucrats yes. Not jobs for productive half of the economy because the EU does nothing to encourage capitalism, in fact the european communist union is the anti-thesis of free market industry. Therefore saying that more money to the EU is going to encourage growth and jobs is double speak.

What a jolly nice human you are...

He's absolutely right, it's the facility of the far left. They just don't understand when you try to make everyone equally wealthy you just end up making everyone equally poor, and history is littered with examples with millions dead directly due to that policy.

You mean like Norway with it's strong social welfare system?.

Or are you implying that the poorly implemented version of communism which ended up as a state authoritarian dictatorship was actually all about trying to make the poor working class better off?.

You are sounding like Fox News - please don't be that guy, you know better than that.

It is a far-right party because:

- it proposes cuts in corporation taxes and the abolition of inheritance taxes.
- it proposes introducing a voucher system that will enable people to receive treatment outside of the NHS
- it is sceptical of man-made climate change and opposes investment in other renewable energy sources
- opposes legalisation allowing same-sex marriage
- it is part of the Europe of Freedom and Democracy political group
- it stands for traditional conservative and libertarian values
- its members (including Farage) have repeatedly expressed xenophobic, homophobic and racist views - worried about Romanian neighbours, allow refugees from Syria but only if they are Christian, homosexuality is a disease etc etc.

Ok so what makes those policies far right?

You mean like Norway with it's strong social welfare system?.

Norway is breaking apart at the seams. Social unrest due to mass immigration, you picked an awful example to counter! Norway is not a happy country and if Labour won the last election we'd be going in the same direction.

I think he was talking on a grander scale than just one country. Atleast I was.

If we paid everyone in asia who makes our clothes an english minimum wage things would be a lot different. (worse for us)

And the thing is, they are not ready to have that kind of money yet...

This man speaks the truth!

Norway used to the happiest country on the planet.

Thanks to the invaders and communists, it is now the second happiest.

That, or robgumn is talking nonsense, as usual.:)

If that was true I'd be voting Labour. :p.

Out of curiosity, which country would you use as a baseline for us to model ourselves off? - who is 'doing it right'?.

Ok so what makes those policies far right?

"Claims that superior people should proportionally have greater rights than inferior people are sometimes associated with the far right."
Those deemed "normal" by the far right are considered superior.
Heterosexuals are thus superior compared to homosexuals. Germans are superior compared to Romanians.

"Far-right politics usually involves anti-immigration and anti-integration stances towards groups that are deemed inferior and undesirable."

"One far-right position could be the view that certain ethnic, racial or religious groups should stay separate, and that the interests of one’s own group should be prioritised."
Syrians are ok but only if they are Christian.
