I was not making any comment on hierarchy, I was attempting to draw attention to just what it has taken to get to this point: millions of years of evolution.

Whether more complex lifeforms are superior to less complex is one we cannot judge objectively. But for me, I would absolutely say there is a hierarchy, one which places me at the top and the amoeba at the bottom.
