The officials have been abysmal, tbh I'm glad our so called hopes are being crushed as that would be no way to get through the group phase, how anyone saw us doing any better is beyond me.

I think we under estimate the climate as well, will be interesting to see in the latter stages with the Euro teams v the S.America teams

Germany. They make the game look so effortless. They seem to score great team goals, and have a lot of variety in their play.

Looking at the current crop of likely Englishmen I'd like a foreigner but one who can speak English as well as Wenger at least.

Italy v Uruguay should be a great game. Rather see the Italians go through, I guess.

But they didn't go our way. We didn't look like winning either of them. There were a few good passages of play against Italy, and more or less none against Uruguay; a team who aren't exactly good defensively.

We're just not good, the team ethic isn't there, the players bottle it, tactics are suspect, etc.

We should do better.

Oh we certainly didn't deserve to win or draw either game, but the margins were very thin. Uruguay scored their only shots, we equalized then looked to have momentum, then a mistake ruins it all. I am not trying to claim we are a great team, but we were only just second best in each game. Certainly with regards to the Uruguay game, I think we lost to a worse team(overall if not necessarily on the night). It happens.

Got to say it has to be Germany for me. Netherlands aren't fooling me. They always do this!
