FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP D [Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy - 14/19/20/24 June] **spoilers**

I will say that we need to cull the older players. Most teams at the world cup have younger teams and seem to bring through younger players much sooner. Gerrard isn't the player he was and I suspect he may announce his international retirement. Lampard is too old and should also retire and probably will. Too often we expect individual players to produce a moment of brilliance rather than playing as a team.

Looking at the current crop of likely Englishmen I'd like a foreigner but one who can speak as well as Wenger at least.

Don't worry mate, we're not changing managers.

We have Roy for another 2 years at least ;)

At least with him being a **** manager he'll be able to empathise with the **** players we have :p

Italy needing a draw, Uruguay needing to win, and being shall we say 'robust' in tackles. Suarez and Balotelli.....What is the record for red cards and penalties in WC game?:p

Didn't expect to get out of the group personally but it's downright embarrassing to be out after 2 games (first time in England's history apparently!) and yet the manager doesn't face the chop!

Roy's (lack of!) tactics have been exposed and his substitutes are baffling imo! Both games were crying out for a target man (aka Lambert) to fling the ball up to and all he did was replace like for like in the midfield that changed nothing!?!?

Every successful team at this World Cup has pressured the opposition immediately - England wait until the opposition are in the final third before exerting any pressure!

Oh, and grow a pair and drop the big-name underachievers (Rooney, Gerrard etc)

Agree. Brazil have been the biggest let down for me so far. Worst Brazil side I've personally seen in my 29 years.

Can take down this **** now though
