As soon as I saw the mediums go on Lewis I thought here we go, Merc giving Lewis a poor strategy and handing the advantage back to Rosberg.
It couldn't be more obvious that the German team, with a German engine, want a German driver to win the championship.
Lewis made the right (intelligent) call to ignore the team imo. They didn't know Rosberg would be 2s+/lap quicker at the end, and if they try to proclaim they did, they should have put lewis on the same strategy...

Just watched the highlights. What a ******* race!! Absolutely nail biting in the last few laps. So pleased that Rosberg didn't win, didn't beat Lewis, and that after yesterday's fire, the gap has reduced from 14 to 11 points. It's a fairy tale story and it means Lewis is still in a with a massive chance of winning the championship. It's great when it's continually neck and neck throughout the season, keeps it interesting and keeps us guessing, rather than a runaway train like last year with Vettel.

Yes, but that would likely have sealed 2nd for Hamilton.
Again the thing that got him ahead of Rosberg was doing better on the tires. After the SC the gaps to cars further back were tight again. Hamilton got ahead because he stayed out longer and when he pitted he was ahead of traffic, Rosberg pitted earlier and got stuck behind slower cars.
From then on Hamilton was ahead, he was conserving tires and stayed with ALonso and ahead of Rosberg. If he'd been on soft tires he would have gained and possibly passed Alonso(he would have no need to save tires) and Rosberg wouldn't have gotten as close. So when Rosberg/hamilton pitted, Ham would have pitted first, with a bigger gap and had exactly the same pace in the final stint, Rosberg wouldn't have gotten close to Hamilton. If you look at how close Rosberg was to Alonso, then think where Hamilton would have been at the end on the same strategy(with the faster third set of softs instead of mediums) he'd have 97% likely got second. Rosberg may have gotten third, though that's better for the team and same points gap, Rosberg may have struggled to get by Alonso, but Hamilton being faster and closer or past Alonso in the previous stint, Rosberg wouldn't have lost much/any time as he did behind Hamilton so likely would have been further up the road as well.

thought I'd mention as well, did everyone else think race director was shocking, managed to follow around cars not looking remotely like passing anyone while missing almost every overtake Hamilton did. He went from pitlane to what 16th without them showing a single over take. Then after the SC I think they accidentally caught half of a Hamilton pass in the background 
If Hamilton passed say 12-13 cars in the race, they showed about 3 of them, after the first couple corners Hamilton was the only one overtaking anyone till the SC and none of his action was shown. Thankfully they got that Vergne overtake because it was awesome.

Yeah I think he's average too, especially this year with this format cars. No one complained or cried foul when an English team favoured the English driver with alonso. The whole team loved Hamilton while alonso alienated the garage against him. Hamilton with some of his bleating this year seems to have done the same. Some of his comments against the team did him no favours. He brought that on himself, like alonso did at mclaren threatening to shop his own team.
Hamilton doesn't seem to realise the difference it makes when you get the team on side in the way others have. Alonso learnt that after mclaren, Ferrari love him. Hamilton is just no where near as clever, then again if he had a brain he would probably have been untouchable.
You've said this before. However, seeing as most people here are British (it's not an 'English' thing, be clear) then of course they arn't going to complain or cry foul about a British driver in a British team.
You're kind of contradicting yourself, Alonso would never have got McLaren as onside as Hamilton because of the above, just like Hamilton will never get to be the top man at Merc.
With Rosberg being so clever and Hamilton being 'brainless' I'm rather impressed Hamilton is doing as well as he is.
At the same time, you could say it's rather impressive how well Rosberg is doing considering he is so "average".
People do seem to exaggerate a fair bit here

I'm pretty sure he will be. Where else would he go?
I don't buy into the fact that Mercedes are favouring Rosberg and that they want the German driver to win.
Otherwise, what was the point in them signing Lewis? They could have signed someone far cheaper, but who was still good enough to play second fiddle to Rosberg. I mean the car is so fast almost any of the other drivers on the grid could probably bring that car home in 2nd place to Rosberg barring any technical issues.

It's not impressive, he has a great car
Perhaps they got Hamilton in case Rosberg totally sucked, getting a cheaper lesser driver therefore would have meant Merc win nothing in that scenario. And, Merc didn't know for a fact that their car would be so quick so nothing was a given.
Edit - In regards to them favouring Rosberg, I disagree, and Merc telling Hamilton to let Rosberg through pretty much shows that. They were both racing for position, if Rosberg was on a different strategy that's his problem. Maybe they should have asked Alonoso to let him by aswell so Rosberg can just cruise out front every race like it's his god given right to do so.

When they hired Hamilton they wouldn't have been sure they'd be so far ahead. In hindsight it actually shows a real lack of faith in Rosberg that they felt the need for Hamilton to make sure of the championship. To me it looks like they thought Rosberg might not be good enough to get the WDC, got Hamilton, and now they've realised they've shot themselves in the foot
I also wonder what difference Brawn leaving could have made internally, it certainly seems like Hamilton has been less happy at the team since he left.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories but it seems entirely possible that there is some desire to have a German WDC (again, agh) for Merc, combined with Hamilton not getting on with the management so well.
I think it's pretty obvious the higherups in Mercedes would prefer a German, driving their German car, to win the WDC.
I don't think there is sabotage happening or anything, but I think it would be foolish to expect the team to be completely neutral.
