Well this new coil is supposed to be 2.0ohms but it says it's running at 1.8.

Wouldn't worry too much about it changing, it's not the worlds greatest ohm meter. Keep your volts at 3.3 on the mvp2, otherwise it's going to be rank on a 1.8ohm coil and just fiddle with the wattage until you get the right amount of vapour/flavour.

I'm pretty sure the new coil type is to make them unrebuildable, the old ones you can just take the top tube off and put a new coil in. The new types are all sealed to make this hard. Since they make their money selling you coils they of course don't want that.

The new one is on the right. That little pin won't budge to replace it with the large pin from the old one. If I even have to replace it? I have no idea, and there are no vids on youtube on how to do it.

Edit: I was wrong the first coil is a protank 1 or 2 coil(hard to tell as they look around the same) the second is a protank 3 coil. They are not interchangeable it turns out.

Sponge, your tank is a Protank 3? If so it looks like you've bought the wrong coil heads for it, they are the ones for the 1 and 2 tanks.

Its what you prefer to an extent. You will know if you have it set too high.

(resistance is ohms), there's obviously leeway in the wattage you choose depending on the juice you're using and your personal preference. But I'd start at 3.3v and 5 - 6 watts on a 1.9ohm coil.

And when vaping at the levels you said, it produces quite a bit of vapour, but I'm not really feeling it. Might be this 100% VG liquid mind.

Yeah, that coil on the right is not a protank 3 mini coil. It looks like one from an aspire tank.

100% vg is more flavour than throat hit, try some 50/50.

If it's not leaking I guess you can. I'd probably contact the seller and explain to them though, they might send out the correct ones without insisting you return those (as they're already used).

No, VG is quite poor are carrying flavour, thats what the PG is for, VG produces the clouds.

PG is flavour and throat hit. Nic level also for TH.

I float between 8mg and 12mg depending on availablity. Now I am making my own i sit at 7.2% 1mg of Nicotine per 10mg of juice as I'm lazy and that's simple maths. (my Nicotine is 72mg).

I find the 12mg to def be stronger on the throat than the 8mg. My mate vapes nicotine free, and it has no throat hit!

Edit Nicotine has a large effect on the throat hit. To be fair to you, you are going to have to play around with these things a bit to find what works for you. There isn't some magic combo that works for everyone. I was a very heavy smoker and use high nicotine and high wattage, but it blows the lungs off most smoker that try my setup.

Same for my missus, she uses a poxy ego battery and tiny Perspex clearo and I could suck on it until I'm red in the face and get no throat hit whatsoever, in turn I can't find any setting on any VV/VW mod that doesn't make her choke.
