Nope, none of my friends own this game (despite me highly recommending it) and I have vendettas available all the time.

I even had a "you have been avenged" type message pop up on the screen earlier, so someone got one of my deaths despite not being on my friends list.

Yeah I know, but I just find it bizarre that I am 15 hours in and I go to do a main mission and it is literally just a tutorial on something that you have been able to do from the start of the game!

Just got the Branding ability and the already brilliant Nemesis system has gone up a notch :cool:

Also, Kainz- Just the addition of one small town, or central hub would improve the game massively and really make the game imo.

Man

I have been getting gang raped in the first level - I can never seem to get to the first objective.
Look at this 3 god damn captains were chasing me around the map it got to the point I had to just face them. I can usually hop around and kill there grunts and finish them off but 3 captains plus all there merry *******s!

Well I think you need to focus on more like one enemy at a time instead of jumping around between them all, but I know it's hard to actually kill any orcs initially. With that many orcs around you at the start of the game, you're always going to struggle. I'm glad to see that you've managed to stop switching into wraith mode randomly.

I'm still not far into the game but enjoying it so far. One thing I have found is that the respawn rate of the orcs seems to be extremely fast. I spend a few minutes clearing out a small area of orcs and before I can take a breath they all seem to start coming back. Means I never seem to get a chance to explore in any detail as it's just one fight after another. Good job the fighting is so satisfying really

How does this game perform on SLI set ups? I would be running it with 2xGTX670.

Stealth FTW. They are quick to respawn but surprisingly short sighted and slow to alert, given their violent natures, so it's possible to have a good explore just using stealth and the bow-distract ability.

Plus, it has the age-old stealth problem that you can messily and very noisily murder someone less than a foot from their friend, and as long as that friend's looking the other way, they won't notice.

First vid, I don't see you using finishers despite building up your combos, is that simply as you haven't got those abilities yet?

Nice to see another keyboard/mouse user, prefer it over controller in this game for some reason.

How come you weren't using the execution finishers during that battle? When your sword glows after 8 consecutive hits you can use it providing you have the skill...

It doesn't yet support Crossfire or SLI and for the most part may give you issues. Crossfire and SLI users have reported stuttering menus and crashing frame rates everywhere where I've looked. Hell I have this problem with my single new GPU (R9 290) whereas it was fine on my old 6970!

Actually, my start was less than stellar too - jump off tower, meet giant troll, immediately die (I think I was less than 20 meters from the start point the first time I died).

Oh, weirdness from Steam. The game is downloading 7.4 GB then just halting, saying an update is required. If I try to move to the top of the queue it just halts again.

???

If I try to play it says "Downlad Corrupt". I've deleted and restarted, but the same thing happened.

It saves constantly.

The towers are your start point for each play session, but the story progress, upgrades, XP/money, current orc army etc are saved whenever they change.

Mission progress is saved each time you complete one (so if you die or quit part way through, you restart it next time)

Edit:

String - have you tried "verify integrity of game files" or whatever it's called - right click the game in the steam library.

Had the same issue downloading Alien, think steam are having some issues of late.

Follow this, worked for me. Remember to delete the local content and then start the download again after completing the following.

I first played this game on my PC with my PS4 controller and I hated the game... Went to M&KB now I'm loving it!!!!

I sorted it, mate. I had to change my download location from London to Manchester, restarted Steam and it picked up where it left off and started downloading again.

Yeah i find the days of "save anytime anywhere" are becoming a thing of the past as games just become more "actiony" in general. I blame consoles

You can't really pop on a game for 10 mins now. You usually have to complete something (or get somewhere) before it saves.
