Corsair RGB release date.

Agree I find it hard to believe that if stock was shipping to retailers this week that they'd have no idea when it was due to arrive, all I want to know is if I'm getting mine Saturday or if I'll have to wait. It's the not knowing that's doing my head in
 
Anyone else find it weird that Scan have the ETA for the same product as Mid November...

I have no idea how difficult it could be to change the Cherry MX Switch type for a board. Since the Red & Brown have already been stocked it seems really weird that the Blue / Black have yet to be stocked.

Obviously there's tooling issues etc but since its the same product just different switch I cant figure out the delay.

Be nice if we can get proper weird on an ETA as if it's going to get further pushed back I'll maybe just opt for an older version. Weird that there's a month in ETA difference for Scan and OCUK though.

@davester85 When I spoke to Customer Services on 15.10.14 about the product the gentleman did say stock was expected on that day. So I dont think anyone will know until Saturday if stock will be in.

Were in the exact same boat then.

No idea why they would roll out a product in stages when it should really be all options together. I'd like to see the figures on market popularity of MX switches. I'd be willing to be Red and Blue are comparable. So it really doesn't make much sense.

I dont know about the Switch types but I know they have been having problem's with the firmware, hence the delays but I would have thought surley that the various E-tailers would know where their stock is? :confused:
 
That's just how OCUK do pre-orders.

Amazon do it a different way in that they charge on dispatch.

It's not really an issue for me, but it is frustrating when in this aspect the ETA is so important.

I do get that, they are operating on different business models.

What I don't understand is that during phone call to customer service, I was advised that ETA for this product is 9/10/14, even that on web page it clearly was 15/10. Then today is 16th and nobody have been contacted that item is overdue. It is not that hard to search database and sent email saying btw. your product is late.
I never had a single problem with OC since I've started shopping with them back in 2006, but this is poor!!!
 
It is really weird that all my comments regarding release have gone unanswered.

There was huge presence following the K70 RGB Red Switch release with moderators, and the Corsair Rep in constant dialogue with people.

Since the patch / fix information was released it's fell off and its just us lot waiting for any sort of new on when we might actually get the product we've paid for.
