The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

What is the level cap? Or how many skill points can you acquire in the game?

I look at the HUGE amount of skill points that can be spent to fill the talents and it daunts me on what choices I will make being perm or not focused enough.

Max level is 70 before the expansions. No way to even reach that yet though. :p

WHAT??????

What the eff??? Seriously???? So meanwhile I'm looking at a contract for a lv32 mob in the 2nd main area that I unlocked. That's low level then???? WOW!

And how many skill points?

You get a skill point for each level, plus one from finding a place of power.

Like I said though, you'll never reach that level at the moment. The game ends before it.
That's why people want New Game+, where you can replay it from the start after finishing it with your current levels, and items.

The thing that really annoys me about Gwent, and is another thing that just seems like it was missed (there is a lot!), is that there are some difficult opponents in the gwent quest, but stupidly it only let's you play them once!...i had a really tough game against the baron in my first game, thought it was really good, and once I had won, I spoke to him again and there wasn't even an option to play him again. There are loads of NPCs like this which is just stupid. The game needs more Gwent players, and the ability to play characters more than once.

Here I thought I was the only one.
:p

I just did the quest where you first meet her, and she is supposed to be hiding from witcher hunters.... She is walking around town and she couldn't look any more like a sorceress!

Can someone point me in the direction of the vendor that sells you the item that lets you reallocate your skill points? :)

What I really like about this game is it's a mature RPG, in other words unlike this forum which doesn't accept swearing OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN, in The Witcher 3 it is as people are in real life. They do swear and at times a lot!

But swearing does not make a great RPG, this has everything I want, it's big, eye candy, great characters and quests and more. GOTY for me and I'm only at level 15 :D:D

You can buy a re-spec potion from Kiera or a vendor in Novigrad. Cost is 1000! :p

I got 2 of these in my first play through but never used them. Currently level 12 in my 2nd go, playing 2nd hardest difficulty.
I don't craft much in regards to weapons and armour, as I don't find any benefit over what I already have. I find the majority of stuff I use, mainly keep and use gear that offer better stats and the ability to add runestones and glyphs. Points I tend to put into signs and alchemy mostly, with a few in combat.
Also finding things I missed in the first playthrough, like the concoction for seeing better and breathing longer underwater.

Damn, I killed Keira for being a traitorous two faced WMD peddling backstabber.

You fool! You ruined life as we know it!

You also stopped her from curing the Catriona plague, and Lambert finding true love. You Monster!!

^Whoops. I killed her too for being a lying witch and for using me :( I thought we had something good going on!

So, I was playing this the other day, and as I said, still early on. Actually had a giggle, was at the part where you need to get a pass to go past some guards (trying not to give anything away but also don't know what I'm on about).

Anyway, spoke to a local who asked me to help clear off some dirty beasty things (honestly, I don't know anything about this game) so they could farm. I was like "sup, yea, cool, I'll sort that". Took the quest, kept wondering around, just having a good ol' chin wag with some muppet who tried to cheat me out of a bunch of credits for said pass... Suddenly I got a prompt for failing the quest.

"ohhhhhh, so quests are both active and passive".

Oooops, must pay more attention!
