Quick shifters are standard fit to many bikes now.

They do exactly the same as clutchless upshifting, just they electronically modulate the throttle rather than you doing it manually.

If they were going to blow things up then the manufacturers would not be standard fitting these things with warranties.

Gold screen screws fitted and Tomtom RAM mount attached, just waiting on some screws to attach the dock to the mount. The screws are quite nice you can't really notice they're gold from a distance but they look good against the blue up close.

You have full control over your throttle

Cutting the ignition for 60ms will not bring the engine RPMs down to zero you know.

Uhhmm, it's called rolling off the throttle. Do you even KNOW how to clutchless upshift?

1 - Apply positive pressure to shift lever
2 - Remove all throttle load
3 - Shift up
4 - Re-apply throttle

A quickshifter does steps 2 and 4 for you. Noting prevents you from doing it manually. In-fact, I can clutchless upshift smoother than my QuickShifter, QS is just more convenient, faster and lazy.

I was clutch less upshifting when you were still on the tit,when i was a spotty teen

I wouldn't do it now,whether it damages your bike or not,I just find it rather silly

Please don't take it personal,I don't wanna fall out with anyone I'm just saying I don't see why you would wanna clutchless shift,can't see the point that's all

On the subject of Quickshifters, has anyone had experience fitting the translogic one and tapping into the ECU or whatever it is you have to do?

I think we all believe we 'look after our machines'. Unfortunately none of us are gearbox engineers. Except me. But not really.

Is your occasional mention of not minding blinding car drivers with a ridiculous headlight also because you love "winding us up"?
