** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

I'm considering going all out and spending more money than I should on the X34 G-sync model.

Think it's worth it?

I'm kinda worried about it as I've been trying to get a decent monitor since april. So many faulty or unsatisfactory panels like the XB270HU, PG279Q, PG278Q etc that worry is shrouding the excitement as I cant help but think I'm gonna have to go through returns again. Is this one generally better?

Not had any problems with mine apart from it not going to sleep but I can live with that, saying that quite a lot of people have had problems with this monitor, but you'll only hear from the people who moan not the people that are happily playing away. Buy it and try it, any monitor you buy these days could have problems 50/50 chance so I say go for it.

I love my monitor but it has problems. It's definitely not a clear cut thing. If I'm stuck with the issues I will be fine, but I will still chase them up when I can, with scan lines being the biggest one. I've still not actually seen any pictures taken during the Gsync pendulum demo with no scan lines.

I'm gonna hold off for a bit I think.

Fed up of playing the panel lottery and not winning so I'll wait a bit. After wasting now almost £200 in shipping things back It hurts the confidence quite a lot.

Still in love with mine, just fired up Shadows of Mordor and although in a slightly strange resolution (3360x1440 instead of 3440x1440) with tiny black bars on either side it still looks amazing. I don't mind playing with borders anyway, it doesn't put me off.

I will wait till xmas for fallout 4 but tomorrow I will have Star Wars: battlefront. Cant wait!

So as predicted, resetting all the settings doesn't fix anything at all.

Still absolutely love mine too, I'll be waiting a short while before deciding whether to send off for repairs, little point when everything is up in the air. QC is definitely better this time round than with the XB270HU (the issues here generally still result in a usable, but imperfect monitor), however it's really not good enough. The problems are minor but that's missing the point.
