But if we're not in the EU it won't happen.
Listening to interviews on the radio and watching snippets on television I find the arguments to be utterly disingenuous. It’s all based on an agreement which is meaningless until ratified. The chances of which would seem slim to none considering the majority of MEPS are disparate from their own leading national parties. The whole thing is likely to be kyboshed out of spite.
A point that is seemingly being ignored by the media outlets.

What won't happen, we are the force inside the eu pushing gmo, fracking and yank banker trade deals, this is why camoron got sodall from the eu they want us out because we are yank frontmen.
The UK was the motivation behind bringing in the east european countries for cheap labour and right wing votes in the council of ministers and parliament.
Have all the people banging on about world trade took a look at the baltic dry index lately, our future hopes of a prosperous lifestyle for average working men relies on being in the EU and being at the far end of the one road one belt Chinese trade road.

Its actually not scaremongering at all, its a fact. We can't be promised what is having to be voted on and no different to how we are currently negotiating and having bits watered down there is always worry this will happen when the votes happen too. It's a democracy where different people have different opinions and we're being asked to vote on a policy that hadn't been through the second phase of deliberations.
At the moment I think the EU is a good idea but ran by people with the wrong heads so they're putting things in the wrong direction. Despite all this talk of EU having a bigger global presence we did nothing in middle east, nothing in Ukraine, nothing in Mexico ongoing drug war. People kept pushing our global advantage of being in EU but it's another lie. We get some prosperity from EU but just decide if the money is worth the democracy loss and that is what it boils down to. We get two years to negotiate favourable trade terms on departure of EU so I'm not scared of trade, not scared of minor economics since I consider hidden costs of the EU but overall I feel I am more scared of the EU showing there lack of care, flexibility etc. As seen with the current negotiation and driving a big boat without being able to pilot it correctly. I'm not sure they are the right people for the job yet and I've yet to see them manage much effectively.

So, you want things to become law, and go on statute books in 28 countries without any sort of vote, after a very rapid-fire shakedown? How's that fly with your conception of democracy? But as above, to assume the fascists and the communists shall prevail, on their slim numbers in the EUP, is plain silly -- it's technically and logistically impossible. Ireland won't be a problem, since it's been our ally throughout the whole process; others will fall in line with their best interest -- they've got enough safeguards to take home.
Whatever we got, we're getting; but there won't be a second deal if we choose to depart.
Protocol. And an easy win for the EU institutions -- why ruin their diplomatic capital and standing over this? We stay in, everyone's happy, and they knew there would be a price for that happiness. But I guess consensus politics isn't really a big thing in the UK after the coalition years. Nonetheless, strange as it is to believe from our pov, there are other pressing matters to focus on Europe-wide; so in the words of Enda Kenny: 'Best it be done quickly.'Old Coals said:

So it's official, Thursday 23rd June is Britain's day of destiny. Will we go quietly into the night, subsumed by a larger, more powerful, less democratic, less transparent entity. Or perhaps we'll seize the day, assert our sovereign authority, remember our history and stay a great, independent nation. Only time will tell...

The stay in are nearly always using a FUD campaign style where as the out seem to be sprouting patriotic / immigration fear rhetoric.

PM seems to like ballroom blitzes in painted corners, and I think the date has been the least well kept secret of late. He's built up the expectation for it to happen in June; backtracking now may appear like he's given in to the SNP and the opposition, which won't go down well with the sections of the electorate he's staking his future on.
I despair.
Running into this completely blind with most morons only voting leave thinking it is some sort of anti immigration save the UK vote.
Cameron has made a huge mistake that rather than promoting the huge benefits of being in the EU he has instead made it about some stupid renegotiation package which would never achieve much.
Everyone on the "dey took ar jobsss" bandwagon and we can suffer the consequences later.
Sigh.
