** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

Surely it cannot be a coincidence that the only people finding this "kid's" posts unpalatable and feel the need to act like a bully are 980Ti owners?

Maybe you have problems reading, but agreed to leave it until reviews came out in interest of stopping all this from spiralling out of control and stoping the so called adults from embarrassing themselves.

And he does it again... Keep digging :o

Yep, bye bye Nick...

This is the last post from me on this subject until the reviews come out. Don't want to hurt the "adult" 980Ti owners around here, they so touchy :D

Come back when your balls drop kid. The jolt might put some sense in you.

Listening to some people on here, you'd easily be mislead into thinking we'll be getting 970's free with a packet of cornflakes soon, worthless otherwise! Hilarious. ;)

Apparently the 1080 only just edges past the fury-x in ashes of the singularity when clocked right up. It manages 47 - 50 fps on 1440p crazy compared to the Fury x's 49 fps.

Well good luck trying to sell them at a high price. You'll have to drop prices either way once 1000 series releases.

They are always people who want a matching card for SLI or a replacement. Seen it every gfx card launch. If the shop only has a few in stock, the prices tends to rise over time, not drop.

The 1070 will not beat the TitanX at everything FACT.

This is not disputable, here are then benchmarks to prove it. ;)

I also remember AMD having a graph comparing the 390X to the 980 and showing showing it had twice the memory and was thus twice as fast. They obviously didn't get the memory about the FuryX!

Timing also, Where IS Polaris? I wanted something since the Ti came out but was not going from 980 to 980ti thats dumb. But Polaris is no where to be seen and Pascal is going to give me 35%-40% on my 980 thanks to clocking hopefully.

In the meantime, Nvidia just got to announce Async, HDR support and DP 1.4 which is another easy win because no one else is around to compete. By the time AMD come to the party Nvidia will strike again.

You're speaking as if Pascal is available. It was a paper launch. They still haven't even shown any verifiable demos of it, which AMD did months ago.

Founder Editions (i.e. priced up low supply early samples before production ramp) will be available in 3-5 weeks, but general availability in any volume is likely at least 2 months away.

AMD will announce Polaris before the FEs ship, of that you can be sure.

Also, NVIDIA said less about HDR than AMD did months ago, and again - Pascal DOES NOT DO ASYNCH IN HARDWARE - it is still software. This has been known since P100 was unveiled, and nothing has changed. Go and look at the AotS bench results that have leaked today ... they show the 1080 being roughly 20% faster than 980Ti / Fury X - exactly as expected. If it had hardware asynch the uplift would be significantly more than that.

Weve seen all sorts of "results" from aots with anything up to 60% over a furyX

There was nothing in the P100 info about asynch so where are you getting any of this from?

If AMD are only releasing a 220mm chip it wont even matter, 20% faster than a FuryX is still going to be faster than anything AMD have this side of christmas

at 1080 you often dont see such a big jump. i dont think the 1070 will be a massive jump on 970/980 at this res

or not as big as people think.

we will see soon with actual game benchmarks.

Aw man, this is just sad at this point. What did Nvidia do to you? Or how much is AMD paying you? ;)

At this point, Nvidia have 'demonstrated' Pascal just as much as AMD have Polaris.

And you can call it a paper launch all you want, they say that there will be worldwide availability early in June. If you dont think they can do that, have your laugh after it happens, not before. You should probably have learned that by now.
