GTX 1070 - any takers?

yes! just use common sense.

Lol you completely avoided the evidence I posted.

Maybe if you have a **** case, with **** fans, **** cooling and **** airflow.. Yes, add 10C, probably more.

The difference between an open bench and a well cooled, high airflow case is negligible.

It's misleading. It's benched without a case. I would add up to 10C

10 degrees? doubtful.

I am inclined to believe it. I have the 980 MSI gaming with the twin frozr V and that barely ever goes above 65 degrees in my case when gaming for ages and the 1070 has a smaller TDP than the 980 :)

to me more more important is the resale value rather than price tag.

If I can sell 1080 for at least 80% of what I paid 1 years later I'll be happy...I may be wrong but I don't think 1080 will hold its 2nd hand market value.

Well I have 2 computers and the second one gets the components I upgrade from the first. So resale value is no big deal for me.

I want to see decent prices though, not crazy extra hundreds of pounds for a little bit of extra speed.

That MSI 1070 review is now offline, anyone got a cache link or anything? MSI one of the brands I'd be considering

Hmmm I noticed it gone offline after refreshed page.

Guru3D posted it on news section:

Hey guys, the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X review we had this morning is offline until Friday. There has been a bit of confusion regarding embargo times and dates, this morning when we posted the review we did contact Nvidia who have us the thumbs up. As it turns out AIB 1070 reviews are still embargoed until Friday. So we have taken the article offline and will obviously re-post it upcoming Friday.

Interesting, custom GTX 1070 reviews wont go live before 10 June. That probably explained there was no EVGA GTX 1070 ACX 3.0 reviews yet so I will keep on eye on Friday. :)

Found the review in cache:

keep dreaming

Trooper is correct, Jay's youtube link proved it.

I bought brand new MSI GTX 970 last Dec after Corsair approved my damage claim. I installed Corsiar H80i cooler replacement and tested ran games opened case. GPU temp were 75C opened case and then closed case when everything okay temp was still 75C, MSI TwinFrzr V cooler was very efficiency.

All you need to know about the GTX1070 is its faster than Titan X & GTX980Ti in every game tested. The only thing faster is the GTX1080 so watch those used Titan X + GTX980Ti prices plunge!

I'm confused about the NDA on the 1070. For the 1080 it lifted a couple days before release and we got a lot more information.

Now we're told the 1070 NDA lifts on the same day that it goes on sale? Wat?
