A politician saying a soundbite to appeal to the populist topic of time, without looking into the practicalities or even meaning it, colour me surprised!

In that case it makes you wonder why so many people don't believe the likes of Mr Jack when they tell them that uncontrolled immigration is a wonderful thing and a huge benefit to our country.

I think what we've also not mentioned is the case of the nervous voter. I think an awful lot of people will see remain as the safe choice and so a lot of people that may be thinking of voting leave now will actually vote remain.

As with the ERM Soros will be in the lead to bet against the pound post Brexit. He made a £Billion last time and he reckons he will do better this time. He will take advantage of the situation either way.

That's the problem. The Remain camp think they are voting to keep things the same; that isn't what is going to happen. We will get swept along on a wave of ever closer integration and people need to understand that if they are thinking of voting to remain.

I think people will bottle it once at the polling booth, and vote for what they think, wrongly, is the status quo.
Then they will question themselves the second they leave the polling station, and come to regret their decision over the coming weeks, months, and years.
For people saying 'we can always have another referendum!' there's not a ****ing chance the government or EU will ever risk this happening again...

You're not making any sense, the student migration numbers thing is a red herring because the vast majority of students form part of the group that don't stay and therefore are not part of the net migration figure...

They're included in net migration figures.

I mean immigration is also a huge benefit to our country in general, and cutting it off would do other damage but students are the obvious one.

In my opinion anyone from anywhere coming here should have Health Insurance for min of 5 years.

You have to pay an NHS premium for every year you come here now.

The partner visa for my GF is costing around £2k all in, just in government fees.

No there hasn't. I'm guessing you're referring to the flawed LSE study Mr Jack keeps referring to but that just looked at the effect on GDP from an influx of young, healthy migrants of working age. Surprise surprise they made a net contribution to the economy. That isn't empirical evidence by any stretch of the definition.
