Facebook has gone mental. It seems that democracy is great unless you don't win. Then it's terrible and 52% of people should never of been allowed to vote as their too old/unintelligent/racist etc. It's done, you might not like it, but we have to get on with it.

Some of the comments are beyond belief really. I've not seen anything that tells me why they think remaining in the EU would have been a good idea - just a general assertion that Leave = racists (presumably because of all the non-white immigrants from eastern Europeans coming over )

I voted several weeks ago by post for leave, so campaigns had no impact.

Had to admit I was pleasantly shocked when I woke this morning to Radio 4 saying Leave had won. Great and surprising day for me.

It's not the fault of democracy that people are stupid.

We are stupid seriously, so any poor disfranchised people voting to leave they don't release for the poor on benefits in particular it's just going to make their life harder.

Well it helps if you have a PLAN before you shake up the world and invoke change. Otherwise you're just playing with fire.

Most people who voted Leave want change, that's for sure. I suspect you'll find that most people who voted Remain ALSO want change.

I don't think many people on either side were happy with the status quo. But at least half the country don't think a relatively blind leap into the unknown is a healthy or safe way to bring about change. And it seems at least some of the other half are now beginning to wonder the same.
