Heard the BBC interviewing people in Hartlepool which voted 70% in favour of out.

I'm shocked at what was said and I can understand how the out side won the vote now.

Why did you vote out?

"Its a mess living here now and can't be any worse being out of the EU so voted out."

Aren't you concerned about the exchange rate and stock market drop?

"nah, we don't go on holiday to those foreign places so not bothered about getting less Euros to the pound and we don;t own any shares"

I suspect that quite a few voters for out did so on a similar basis.

I've heard very similar from 'leavers' locally to, it's really disheartening, I really think there will be voters remorse on this one down the line, especially if Scotland leave, without their vote in the GE we're stuck with the Tories governing us for a very time if not forever.

No news here. Ask similar questions after every election. Lucky if 1% of people actually follow politics or economics closely. Often the issues are so complex no need really knows what's going on, closer to weather forecasting than anything. Voting is usually tribal, that's why politicians speak in sound bites. Not ideal but that's the reality.

Don't forget the 330mrt and a400 contracts. If Airbus tries anything funny, the uk should cancel them.

I work for a global company in the aerospace industry and emails from my company stated prior to voting that investment may not continue to be made in the UK however an email today read that the UK has certain required skill sets and that we deliver world class leading technology and services globally. That's the positive the negative was them highlighting it will take some time to assess what the impact is of the exit decision.

I work on the A350 project (wing) and our facility has had major investment to ensure we can meet rate as it ramps up. I know that doesn't 100% mean that Airbus wouldn't pull the plug but fingers crossed!

Well this debate came about because of immigration right? Well UKIP and Farage have shown themselves time and time again to attract vocally racist people.

I am not saying that all leave voters are racist. What I am saying is that people who hate immigrants because they're foreign, are more likely to have voted leave.

In any case, there will be no benefits whatsoever of us leaving the EU. Nobody has been able to say what we will get as a result of leaving, that hasn't been debunked.

This Referendum actually makes me ashamed to be British. We don't look at facts, we look at who we can tell to **** off the most loudly. That is what this referendum has come to.

Cameron brought this referendum upon us all to quell the support Nigel Farage was getting, in doing so a lot of the electorate saw it as a way to take Cameron and his stooge Osborne down, it worked.

He put his job on the line and it back fired, Cameron put all yours and the rest of the remain voters wishes to stay in the EU and keep the status quo on the line.

This was all started by a bunch of Tories who do not give a **** what you or I think, it was for their benefit only, and it has back fired big time.

So Cameron is who you need to blame, not the 52% of the electorate that voted remain and who are still being called racist, xenophobes and bigots on here and in the media, it's getting old.

Where is Osborne by the way? He and is mate Dave have screwed over a lot of people in the past 6 years, does anyone think those people didn't vote as a BIG **** you Dave? They deserved their chance and took it.

Then you have all the people who voted for other reasons obviously, i was always pretty confident it would be a leave vote because of what i have said above.

Oh and those tears from Dodgy Dave this morning, **** you Dave, **** you.

The country is also now split down the middle and in a nasty way, just look at it on here, all because of Cameron and his mates.

Do you think the average voter knows that? The point is, it's more disinformation and empty promises that people would have genuinely based their vote on.

The very point that the money spent on the EU would be directed to things like the NHS was repeatedly drummed out by LEAVE supported over social media.

I am an average viewer, as are you.

Anyway and not sure if this was asked already but do Leavers still think that the vote was rigged from the start? :D

That was just ridiculous. You cannot rig a UK election. Far too much scrutiny from the electoral commission. And pencilgate was the barmiest thing I've ever heard.

It's sad that people could even think a vote would be physically rigged in the UK but I suppose the dirty tactics employed made peoples' imaginations run wild.

and yet many, many average voters were reposting this kind of information on the lead up.

Facebook has gone mental. It seems that democracy is great unless you don't win. Then it's terrible and 52% of people should never of been allowed to vote as their too old/unintelligent/racist etc. It's done, you might not like it, but we have to get on with it.

A case in point.
I am right because I am right, you are all wrong because you are stupid, self interested, racist/poor/rich.
We lost because the stupid racists/protesting lefties/ rich self interested toffs/poor people voted to leave.

Just who exactly are we supposed to be hating?

Because you've pretty much just said we have to hate everyone.

Companies won't just pull the plug and any decisions made in the next week are just burying bad news that was planned well in advance. They were trying to influence their employees to vote a specific way, they failed, now they seek to steady the ship. If you lot put tools down Monday morning and walked out, their business would be massively damaged and stakeholders hate that. Now they could plan a slow withdrawal, but they are a commercial business, they will do what is best for their commercials and frankly that won't be anything massive for many months/years if ever I suspect.

Exactly so much jas been put on "oh but theyre/it a net gain for the country".

But the majority of people dont see that theg are the losers in the equation.

And there are far morw qorking class whove been made worse off than upper class roch whove gained.
