That sounds... pretty great, actually.

I just want to use the phrase STOUT YEOMAN OF THE BAR irl.
"The White House has said that US President Barack Obama stands by comments he made that Britain would move to the "back of the queue" for trade talks in the event of a British exit from the EU, Reuters news agency reports.
Mr Obama made the comments in a visit to the UK in April."
"Credit ratings agency Moody's has changed its outlook on the UK's sovereign rating from "stable" to "negative". "
The issue is, everything in the financial market is assigned to perceived value and the accompanying perceived risk.
The collective mindset is currently one of high risk remaining for some time. Likely until we agree some fundamental terms with the EU (and potentially beyond)
Until that time, mortgages rates will rise.

If only you were right - overwhelming support would have been enough for remain to win.
Poor Alex, in so much pain over plebs stopping remain from winning, the only way he can sooth it is trying (and failing) to scare them that mortgage rates will rise.
Q on money.
I have cash I want to put in to a bond. Should I rush to do it now or wait to see what happens?

On the flip side, I could put the money towards a property. I guess I need to wait and see what will happen with house prices and mortgages.
still feel gutted and like we've completely shot ourselves in the foot
You're assuming there were no Scots voting tactically - voting Brexit so that the UK leaves and Scotland can push for independence on the back of it.
Time will tell what the real sentiment is in Scotland. I suspect much will depend on how open the EU's arms are for welcoming an independent Scotland to the fold.

EU far right parties demanding leave as well now.

Seeing as the UK makes up almost 13% of the EU population, I don't think Obama really thought it through properly."The White House has said that US President Barack Obama stands by comments he made that Britain would move to the "back of the queue" for trade talks in the event of a British exit from the EU, Reuters news agency reports.

Not necessarily bad. It could mean we dodge TTIP and get a better, less one-sided deal later on.
I'm pretty sure that was debunked as untrue.
