Wow really? I gave up on grinding the underground at around level 15 because the only good loot were in the caches which just took longer to get.
 
I've never seen a 240 item from hard mode underground, challenge mode is 240 and hard is 214. Unless it's just a ridiculously low drop chance, I'd take it with a pinch of salt.
The caches will be interesting though for ps4, I'm after a decent mp7/mp5/m1a now they'll have older weapons included. I've usually got rubbish pistols or low dps snipers with a few 268 blind set items over on the PC. Apparently old armor sets have a chance of being in a cache now too, though I've never seen one. Rip the 268 sentry dream :(
 
The cache's can drop any 1.3 set. But none of the old ones. The boss drops can be the old gear sets, but are still heavily weighted to blind and firecrest.

The directive rewards are the ones that can give 1.1 gearsets. As for hard, how much have you played since the patch ? plenty of reports on reddit of 3 / 4 directive hard modes giving 240 gear sets as directive rewards.
 
Played some hard mode with three directives last night. Got some alpha bridge and sentry 214 as well as the usual set drops. didn't see any 240s. Did get three 229 weapons from heroic single phase. All pretty average though.
 
I thought there was a chance of getting old sets in the caches as well?
I've been mainly playing the UG on the PC as nothing to do really on the ps4 until Tuesday lol.
Few hours a day since Friday in the UG but never seen 240's from hard either. Might just be awful rng

no, read the patch notes. The only way of getting the 1.1 gear sets is from the directive rewards. The caches were changed to drop all 1.3 gear sets only.
 
I think I got lucky last night in the UG! Managed to bag myself a full reclaimers set :D
It makes a nice change from full tactician, boosting groups output or CC ability whilst still running smart cover and pulse is superb. I do struggle for heals sometimes if I'm not babysat!
 
I've barely played over the last few weeks, got nothing really to achieve, 255 gear score with all the stats I need on gear and a G36 with top perks. Meh, see what the next patch has.
 
Good help anyone just starting out. What the hell should I be doing lol. I'm GS 190, any suggestions on what I should prioritise mission wise?

Also I've got a ton of Intel from search and destroy missions. Is there a way of grouping up to do the harder HVT missions?

Don't like taking breaks from games..... Come back clueless.
 
Do the hvts, queue up for Hudson camp I think it is. It's the one bottom left, where you first start and just matchmake for the general area. It's the unofficial place to find people. Works very well but sometimes a struggle to find enough people all that quickly.

Maybe try hard mode underground or heroic missions, mainly Lexington as it's the fastest to get a group and complete. If you have any phoenix credits you could look at the vendors in the post office too.
 
I bought the gold edition for this on ps4 and haven't played much since the last free update. I just don't feel like I want to grind for more stuff because even if I do get some great drops I can't find a reason why I'm doing it and what I need the gear for. With destiny I could get better gear for the raids which were great and also so I was geared up for iron banner etc. In division your just gearing up for the next DLC which, when it drops, makes all your gear obsolete and off you go again.

I know its the same in all these types of games but division just seems like your doing it for no reason, there's nothing to motivate you. With destiny the motivation for me was also how fun each new weapon was to use and when you got new/exotic armour that was fun to use and made your character look good. Division armour all looks the same, as with the guns.

that's very interesting viewpoint :)

Raid = Incursion
IB (LAG) = Darkzone
POE = Underground

Division got cosmetic items, destiny asking for same feature since day one (transog) not seen a single person with same look or build in division ever.

Division guns (exotic) look very different, just not best in game, but destiny exotic not best in game as well.

weapons you are chasing in destiny are same guns since 2013 (next DLC about weapons you already got) also very few new guns in destiny most are reskin

Destiny content don't get updated with next DLC, division getting bigger.

i'm not saying divison got every right, it's not. for a game thats only had 1 weapon balance patch, 1 paid DLC and only 4 month old. done way more then destiny in same timeframe

my biggest problem with division will be gearscore on items, i'm not going after same item again and again need to sort something out before next DLC and they need to sort out named weapons (exotic) seem stuck in time :(

Wow i'm still nowhere near 255 gearscore, what gear you running? how long did it take?

I'm out tonight, everyone just randomly joins our chat and games its normal. We don't send invites out, you can't see who they are playing with or just sorting gear out :)
