They didnt have 3 red button channels :p... For London 2012 they actually had 24 dedicated HD channels broadcasting on sky and virgin.

They have still increased capacity for rio, they have 8 dedicated HD channels. I posted the channel numbers earlier in the thread.

Ah I see. The 8 channels are on freview too albeit not in HD.

Information Technology aspect seems a little basic tbh. First thing I wanted to do was follow the USA basketball team can't seem to do it on BBC sport nor the official olympics app.
 
Does the BBC site not allow you to filter events which Team GB are in?

As in..

Team GB are currently participating in these events right now...

blah
blah
blah

With links to the appropiate streams.

Maybe I am being too lazy :p

The attendances seem awful.

Too many comp/corporate hospitality tickets or just not enough local interest/money to buy tickets?

Always a scam though. Remember in London where you could only apply for tickets with a certain brand of credit card :(

Nobody can have sponsors on their clothing but they shill the **** out of anything else associated with the games.

Freesat has the channels also, in hd and in normal, all eight, been flicking most of the day.
Good coverage of opening events, lots if medals decided today.
Poor show in th cycling road race.

Such a massive amounts of empty stands, there is so little in attendance.
I recall London was for th most part full.
Great attendance, good show, but I have yet to see more than a 50% attendance at any event, despite lots of Brasilian entrants.
