Pokemon GO! (2016)

Err fancy going for a swim? Thought not, because that's exactly what would happen, pokestops in the most awkward places (lochs, ponds, highways, main roads, and dodgy woods/areas). No one would complain huh? :p

To be fair, sign posts for towns could be some...

It might be a part of the game but who wants to catch Weedle, Rattata, Pidgey, Drowzee, Jynx, Magikarp, Psyduck all the time or spend several hours playing and the only rare Pokemon you see flees. There's no fire Pokemon here and not everyone lives near London or nests.
I'll end up using bots in a manner I don't get caught.

So your threat is if you don't get what you want you'll ruin the game for yourself, nailed them there.

Where I am there isn't a lot but I make the effort every so often to get out an explore and have fun with it.

Yes there isn't enough in the countryside, it could be better balanced but that may come in time, stop throwing your toys around.

I won't run it for myself, my friends don't play at all anymore because of the garbage Pokemon and work, I go back to university in a month for my final master's year so won't have time. Using a bot could actually be fun, I'd just want to catch some fire Pokemon.

You know what ruins the game almost as much as bad spawns? Getting your second 96% Gyarados with Twister :(.

For people that don't know, Twister is one of the few charge moves that still does less dps than just spam tapping the screen :(.

Yeah, to be fair the second one is on my account I'm using on Nox walking around Central Park (no teleporting, just playing normally somewhere there is actually decent spawns), but the first one was on my proper account and it took me until level 25.5 to actually get the magikarps.

I got it the day that the maps were blocked on my main account, definitely part of the reason that I've basically not played on my proper account since the maps were blocked.

Finally got to level 25.

The new tracking option looks terrible. There's not many good pokemon which spawn by a pokestop so what's the point!

If you live in a major city everything spawns next to a pokestop, because pokestops are everywhere :p.

For everywhere else though, it's not so good, yeah. It's easier to track things now though.

They're back and working fine.

The nearby feature is location specific. I'm in San Francisco now and have the feature to use. I can select a Pokemon and it shows me the pokestop where it is located.

Hang on, hang on, hang on... so have I misunderstood this new tracking feature? It shows tracking to the nearest Pokéstops? What?:confused:

As far as I'm aware it hasn't been rolled out entirely yet.

But essentially yes the Pokemon Sightings seem to relate to near Pokestops now, which is an interesting change.

From what I can gather the closer you get to a Pokestop (or are within the radius of one) the Sightings updates to Nearby? Although I can't say I've noticed this working in practice yet and I'm on Android in the UK.

Hummmmm, that's still a bit odd. I don't know... I was expecting more of an integration of the features of Pokevision, whereby nearby Pokemon show up in the nearby list, and tapping on zooms out to display where they are on the map.

Just been having a read of: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRo...tracker_just_updated_with_an_enhanced_nearby/

But looks that way unfortunately. So it will still favour people in densely populated areas and won't really be an improvement for people who live in small towns and places with 0 pokestops.

It is better than what we currently have, but still a little frustrating. It still means you can only really go hunting around pokestops and not in the country.

Yeah, the tracking is Niantic's way of reminding everyone that they only care about players in major cities :p.

Anyone having problems with the game? Just went to the shop, I opened the game a bunch of times but no pokestops or pokemon load, and it won't track distance .

If Nearby is supposed to work I can only see 'Sightings' on the App at the moment.

My assumption is they haven't fully activated the feature all over the world, I'm in Glasgow.
