Pokemon GO! (2016)

Have the addressed anything about the unfairness of the game yet?

Pokestop locations, spoofers and cheaters?

Tired of never having any pokeballs when if you live anywhere near a city you can basically never run out, a friend of mine is in new york and has shown me at least 15+ screenshots of his game where there are hundreds of stops all close together.

No, bit that's just location and lack of landmarks where you live.

Although I do drive last a bridal way sign that's a pokestop :p

A few other fixes that may have gone unnoticed or for me at least;
No longer duplicates in nearby list.
No longer loss of audio in app when receiving a notification on my phone.
No more low res text in gyms.

It's more to do with how many people played ingress in your area. The lack of Pokestops I can understand, but there's no reason for the terrible spawns outside of cities.

Lol, so basically they've done nothing about it :p if someone had made a conscious decision to drive and play a pop up won't stop them.

To be fair if they did make you do stuff to check whether you're driving or not it would probably be worse because then people would be even more distracted while driving :D.

There was a post on reddit about how a bot site got shut down by Niantic, other than that I haven't really seen much. They've said that bans will be coming though, so we've just got to wait I guess.

True with the ingress stuff, particularly spawns....but I have caught a squirrel and Meowth from my sofa in a small village :p

Saying that, if people want to scout for pokestop they can just use the Ingres map site also

Well its good to see the exp bonuses and the battery saver return. But I have no idea if I'm one of the people who got the tracker update to try. The pokemon are just showing as standing in patches of grass for me.

You didn't get it then. Instead of grass it would show pictures of pokestops and clicking on it would show on the map where the pokestop it :).

It's a lot easier to track stuff with just the regular grass tracking now though since pokemon remove themselves when they're despawned/out of range, they're mostly in the correct order, and there's only the closest of a particular type shown (so no more 9 pidgeys shown) :).

That sounds even better than the footstep system they started with. If they can get it to work consistently, then this game might finally be getting back on track.

Shouldn't have to be a specific landmark though, they should just scatter them across areas that clearly have none, I doubt anyone will complain about there being a pokestop #38 or whatever without a clear picture or detail about it such as landmarks and buildings do currently.

Went to the coast over the weekend and the amount of pokemon that spawn there compared to here is ridiculous, even with a lack of pokestops it was like night and day.

:p

It's still rubbish, the tracker. Had a Squirtle run away after spending ages finding it. The app needs to register how long you've been walking for to find a Pokemon far away and so it doesn't flee. Imagine spending ages, only for a rare Pokemon to run away.

That'll never happen. Spawns generally last 15 minutes per hour, what you're asking for would mean completely changing the way spawns work and make it so that spawns are per person like incense spawns instead of for everyone, otherwise spawns would never go away because there'll always be someone tracking them pretty much.

It sucks when something you want despawns on you, but I'm completely fine with it. It's better that spawns are the same for everyone and stuff despawning occasionally on you than everyone getting different stuff.

I mean once you've found the Pokemon and are throwing poke balls at it and then it decides to escape them and flee. Surely they can detect you opening the app and finding a Squirtle on your bed to walking around every street in an area to find the Squirtle whilst it was showing in Sightings.
Make the Pokemon not flee for the people who have been walking around for like 1000m with the app open.

Oh, I don't see the problem with that either. Fleeing is part of the game, just because you spent time tracking it down doesn't mean you should be guaranteed to get it.

A welcome update, nice to have the throw bonus back and the new tracker looks nice, will be good when we all get that.

Just wondering of anyone knows, on the nearby thing I occasionally get one showing as just a grey circle. Is this just a bug or something rare that it doesn't show me?

Yeah it's a Pokemon mate :p

And lol at 'waaaah they run away from me'....it's part of the game!!!

:p

Err fancy going for a swim? Thought not, because that's exactly what would happen, pokestops in the most awkward places (lochs, ponds, highways, main roads, and dodgy woods/areas). No one would complain huh? :p
