Unless everything runs at 60FPS this is pointless personally. And considering Sony are limiting this on MP, then I dont see this as a big deal.

No they won't. That's up to the developer whether to implement.

Yes they will, if the game supports 4K and you display it on a 1080P TV the game is still rendering at 4K, it gets downsampled to 1080P to display on your TV which effectively gets you Super Sampled AA.

Other aspects of the PS4 Pro became evident during our various demos. First of all, while most developers seem intent on supporting enhanced resolutions and HDR, the fact is that users of 1080p screens will only benefit from super-sampling, and perhaps a smoother frame-rate on most titles.

PS4 Pro with a 1080p display:

Enhanced visual effects, procedural ground cover, higher scene complexity, greater texture fidelity, and dynamic reflections.

The Witness
PS4 Pro with a 1080p display:

1080p resolution instead of 900p and increased antialiasing quality from 2x to 4x MSAA, while keeping a solid 60 FPS.

That's two. The majority may well use supersampling but not every one will.

Devs would be foolish not to take advantage of the Pro for 1080p. It's their biggest PS4 audience and what better way to showcase their games.

Sony also need to be forthcoming towards them. If people have an XB1 / PS4 Pro at home, you could sway purchasing decisions for games with a simple patch.
