**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

So anyone think Volta is due in 2017 or still think it's a 2018 product? Interested in seeing if it's due shortly after the 1080Ti.

I'll prob skip 1080Ti because of cost, and my current card still blazes thru games.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Volta next year.

Pascal clearly does not have as good a DX12 implementation than what AMD already have implemented, almost future proofing their current architectures. What with more and more recent benchmarks with the RX480 doing so well and FuryX trading blows with a 1070.

nVidia will try and get a 1080ti out before christmas to steal away people from Vega until they release Volta late end of 2017..

lol my 980ti boosts to just under 1500 and i'm on sli

Mine both do 1590 and fully stable in firestrike and 3D mark but i keep them at 1500, also the TX has more cuda cores so both cards at same speed the TX will beat the Ti on performance.

I can tell you 1070s are definitely still selling. We don't hold any stock of 1080s so can't speak for that.

Looks like it might cost a pretty penny if that's anything to go by. Maybe they learned from the 980ti?

Heavily hinting that there is something in the pipeline. Dunno if a 1080Ti would be faster than Pascal Titan like the previous gen cards were. Would Nvidia let that happen yet again?

I don't think that's actually true.

GP100 has all the FP64 cores, which add nothing to gaming performance but increase heat and decrease clockspeeds.

The full unlocked core only has 3840 FP32 cores, vs 3584 on the Titan XP. I wouldn't be surprised if GP100 can't hit above 1800 MHz, in which case the GP102 core probably ends up faster (or equal) in gaming.
