Haha yeah, we all need them really, especially as all of us here are probably slightly more technically orientated than the majority of other cyclists...! We all love our data and numbers more!Shame I don't have a power meter![]()
I do wonder if cadence differences would affect chain wear though? I know mine is pretty high generally at 95-100.
Glad he didn't wind you up too much! As mentioned on Strava I had a numpty on Tuesday morning complain at me I wasn't using the cyclepath, when I shouted back 'it was like an ice rink' he very aggressively replied it 'wasn't his problem'. I responded with my usual reply of a cheery wave and "Happy Christmas!" as he drove off. This is the response I use year round as it amuses me more in the summer, it's great to combat road rage with insanity. Really stops them in their tracks and the vast majority will then just drive away rather than argue.I wasn't really fuming at him, more just glad that I could be angry at a motorist in the full knowledge of completely and solely being able to claim the moral high ground. Just a total maniac.
And yesterday I had a car pull out of a junction and nearly take me out.
More incidents these last two days than the whole of last year. So tempted by a helmet camera. If I had a compilation of all the incidents I've seen over the last few years....
Had one do it to me today, thing is I was in my car & had to brake. Idiots always gonna idiot. Some stupid bimbo never saw me going around the roundabout (albeit a little bit slowly due to conditions) and carried straight onto the roundabout without looking.
I was in full fluoro yellow gabby top too! Hardly inconspicuous!!
omghi2u!Slick Rick the 800watt luminous roady
Sounds like a manufacturing mistake, unless they're designed for nobbly CX style 30mm+ tyres and not road slicks?Purchased some Radial Avert Pro Aluminum Mudguards Width: 30mm (20-25c) now having an unexpected installation problem

I wouldn't expect 80/100 cadence to make a huge difference to chain wear, torque and load on the chain would wear it far more. With my very rough & ready highschool science I'd expect 200W @80 rpm and 200W @110 rpm to roughly equate to very similar forces to the chain? If anything the higher rpm would have less torque?
There's a perfect set of barely used P1's popped up on the Wiggle Ebay page... The last couple of sets sold for £500-600... If these are going to sell in the lower range of that figure I'm very tempted. They have '9/16" Pedal Axle' noted in the name, but
-4 at work so glad I got the bus in...
Have you looked to see if there's anything sharp snagging on it ?
What bike you have.?
so onto 4th rear gear cable on my 105 bike.
all 3 snapped at the same spot, right in the shifter probably 2cm from the end.
all seem to last around 1.5k miles too!?? WTF SHIMANO.
This time I got a low friction cable and dumped a lot of grease inside. Hopefully that'll make it last.
Can anyone recommend a good phone/accessories carrier while riding?
At the moment I juse use a small ziplock bag buts it's a right faff, and they get holes in after a while.
On the lines of this: https://bellroy.com/products/maap-all-conditions-phone-pocket/leather/black
As nice as that looks it is £80!!![]()
Yeah I know but it's my understanding that Powertap warranty can be done through the serial number anyway. Spotted this UK 'Service Centre' where they'll service them for £52 anyway...I saw them this morning - only issues I would have is no cleats and no warranty is the big one. We all know power meters can be "iffy" at times and no warranty would be the big factor putting me off them
Pics! Quite interested how the black rims look! Dirty pics anyone?it's a tool, it's filthy, scratched and used and hardly if ever washed.
mind you this pic is right after putting it together![]()
How old is the outer and was it ever kinked?

It was loads dirtier than that last week but I didn't take any pics lol![]()
Was starting cooldown (<2 w/kg) doing a bit of a climb at the end and passed a 'group D race'. Seemed very slow?! Is these guys 'racing' up a hill at only 200W, getting passed by everyone a 'thing'?!![]()
By that metric I'd be cat d and I'd be a bit put out if that makes me unfit! I'm slow but definitely not unfit...
