There's a perfect set of barely used P1's popped up on the Wiggle Ebay page... The last couple of sets sold for £500-600... If these are going to sell in the lower range of that figure I'm very tempted. They have '9/16" Pedal Axle' noted in the name, but I think that's the standard size anyway? Hopefully that keeps some people away from them...
I wouldn't expect 80/100 cadence to make a huge difference to chain wear, torque and load on the chain would wear it far more. With my very rough & ready highschool science I'd expect 200W @80 rpm and 200W @110 rpm to roughly equate to very similar forces to the chain? If anything the higher rpm would have less torque?
Quite like the look of them, do the 'clamps' holding the guards (end of the stays) hold things secure? Are they made to 'release' the guard should something get stuck in it/the wheel?
As for the presta thing, it was my understanding the clamping of the pump on the end pressed the valve in, not the pressure itself? The 3 track/floor pumps I have all clamp on using a lever. My best portable pump screws on the end and you can feel the pressure is held in the pumps 'tube' (which is also used for co2 inflation), only my older portable (Crank Brothers Gem) presses onto a presta value without a screw/clamp and might be reliant on pressure, which might also explain how awkward it is to use.
Haha yeah, we all need them really, especially as all of us here are probably slightly more technically orientated than the majority of other cyclists...! We all love our data and numbers more!Shame I don't have a power meter

Glad he didn't wind you up too much! As mentioned on Strava I had a numpty on Tuesday morning complain at me I wasn't using the cyclepath, when I shouted back 'it was like an ice rink' he very aggressively replied it 'wasn't his problem'. I responded with my usual reply of a cheery wave and "Happy Christmas!" as he drove off. This is the response I use year round as it amuses me more in the summer, it's great to combat road rage with insanity. Really stops them in their tracks and the vast majority will then just drive away rather than argue.
Had one do it to me today, thing is I was in my car & had to brake. Idiots always gonna idiot.

Sounds like a manufacturing mistake, unless they're designed for nobbly CX style 30mm+ tyres and not road slicks?

Yep would love a bit of extra data... I get annoyed when my cadence sensor plays up despite having a fairly good idea of what my cadence is likely to be anyway. I can't really justify a power meter though.. would rather have a second bike!
Perhaps I'm just better at not changing gears under load
I saw them this morning - only issues I would have is no cleats and no warranty is the big one. We all know power meters can be "iffy" at times and no warranty would be the big factor putting me off them
-4 at home this morning with a nice glistening frosty/ice road. Drove in (was semi planning to anyway). -6 at my work and although clear it doesn't look like it's going to go much over 0 all day.

Jumped on the Turbo last night, only had time until dinner was ready so just rode on Zwift with no plan/aim. Unlocked a couple of the jerseys from codes and now riding around in the GCN kit. Did a couple of 300W intervals, base work and then racing around with some guys at 3-3.5 w/kg smashfest. Was starting cooldown (<2 w/kg) doing a bit of a climb at the end and passed a 'group D race'. Seemed very slow?! Is these guys 'racing' up a hill at only 200W, getting passed by everyone a 'thing'?!

think it might be the design of the shifter, the way the cable routes through the shifter.it's custom-ish
Alu frame, carbon forks, mech discs, 105 5800 with some superstar wheels(not in the pic) all custom black paint.
it's a tool, it's filthy, scratched and used and hardly if ever washed.
mind you this pic is right after putting it together
now it has -;
mudguards
dirt
new tapes
new wheels(plain black)
4.6k miles etc.
TBF I like 105 5800 but this issue is getting on a bit. I only replaced the cable in august and it went pop again.

At the moment I juse use a small ziplock bag buts it's a right faff, and they get holes in after a while.

replaced with jagwire outer 1.5k miles ago, it snaps inside the shifter mechanism not in the outer. Googling around it seems that it has been happening for ages, 5600 and over. Ultegra too.
I do like my sram, seemed to be very reliable. Compared to the newer shimano. Mind you my old shimano 2300 did over 8k miles and no cable snaps.

I bought a pack of the Bikemate phone pouches in Aldi when they last had their bike stuff in. Think I paid £1.99 for them in the clearance and there were 3 in a pack (although I think there should only have been 2). Quite thick clear plastic with double press seal top. Big plus for me is that you can still use the touch screen through them.
I did get a split in one of them after about 20 uses but taped it up and carried on using it. Probably had another 10 uses since. The other two are still unused!

Looks like your camera is pointing up in the sky? I'd point it down a bit as contrast seems to get ruined quite a lot if there's too much sky.

Even unfit guys should be allowed to enjoy the ability to ride in a racing environment no? Thats the whole reason for the different category races, cat d are <2.5w/kg
Or perhaps they all went out too fast and blew themselves up and are struggling up the hills
