They've lost controller 2 for the Bomberman demo

Super Bomberman R. Hmm.. I loved Bomberman on the Saturn.
Completely agree with all of this.
I do think Nintendo do need make "the third console".
I would say 90% of people buy one of the 2 and then Nintendo as their backup console, it's very rarely someones first pick.
As said, the reason people buy Nintendo consoles is for their games. There is literally no other reason to buy them (unless you really like motion controls but honestly, who does?)
If they made a console that stacked up against the other 2 then for most people the choice would then be a lot harder.
Do you prefer Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo exclusives? Pick one. Rather than x + a nintendo.
I really really want Nintendo to succeed, I love their games but (IMO) they haven't done anything right hardware wise for a long time.
"Playing classic bomberman with real time shadows is blowing my mind".
But thing is, even with this 'gen' consoles. Before I had one, my friends and myself were all laughing at how bad the low powered xbox was and how bad the games were. Their was no way in hell we were gonna get an xbox. Couple of years on, we all have an xbox. Nobody has a playstation, more because we knew xbox and liked xbox, we all had achievement scores and didn't want to start from fresh.
Same applies here. If you make a 3rd console to compete with Sony and MS, no matter how good the games are on the other console, most people are gonna stick to the one with all their friends/achievements(trophies)/digital downloads. You have to offer something different or the majority of people won't buy it. I've got a pc and an xbox(at some point ps4 too) and a wii u. The xbox is my main gaming platform as all my friends are on there. The others are just for exclusives.
It doesn't matter if they only released one game at launch(for me). It'll take me over a month to complete and by that time other games will be out to play. Be it on the switch or other platform.

Really?
They have to offer something different, what like Kinect, Move, PSVR, EyeToy etc?
These dudes look like they are having fun.

The controllers are tiny.
Did you actually notice the game they are playing. That's right, it's both another "new ways to play" game where you play each other by looking at each other.... super exciting and exactly what most people think when buying a console, but the game is milking cows. This is where NIntendo have gone, milking cows and pretending to shoot each other. Considering the quick draw game is $50... I imagine the milking the cows race is maybe going to cost the same as it seems about as complex.
Do Nintendo have their console and new game ideas office in California, or Oregon, or Washington, Alaska or Colorado?

And you think the Switch is priced in a way that younger children are going to get one and extra controllers too? Not to mention there really isn't much in the way of games for kids until Mario.
Looking at the switch marketing it appears they are after the hipster crowd who don't drive and catch the tube everywhere and who go to their friends rooftops and hang out having a soiree.
I don't see a single child in the reveal trailer. Just a load of singletons, some creep in an airport putting moves on some poor girl just because she has a switch too and someone who should have their dog taken off them for neglect.
Nintendo should just target gamers in general, that way they can't lose.
