Only a few weeks ago. Don't mind the numberplate, it is a red herring. :p

Thanks all, wasn't quite expecting that reception! :)

The car is now much tidier inside than out, the paintwork is going to be the biggest stumbling block.
 
The catch is that it is a 26 year old car which left the factory red and has spent the past 15 years on country roads. The paintwork needs serious attention, or possibly even a respray. It is faded and oxidized badly, one of rear quarters was re-sprayed about 20 years ago, but with lacquer on t, which has started to peel, and the front has a ridiculous amount of rock chips. I plan on spending out for a re-spray at some point, but in the mean time I'm going to borrow the good Mr Voxinations DA polisher, and see what I can do with it. :)

Its mechanically solid, minimal rust, and a full years MOT.

Sod aesthetics - as long as it's mechanically sound, you're fine. Still seems too good to be true, judging by your car history :p
