One of my issues with the show is, they have always been this pathetic. Unless you get surrounded by a hoard, you should be able to just wander through them, stabbing them in the noggin. This is why I don't understand how they overcame the military. Unfortunately 'Fear The WD' didn't explain this either.
I thought the Rick & Michonne melee at the fair ground was not really falling inline with the scheme of things. The walkers have (supposedly) always been a threat when in numbers, while manageable in dribs and drabs. All of a sudden an enclosure full of them is nothing to worry about with just a sword and a pointy stick? It was an episode that had quite a few "Really??" moments. I can forgive the 30 seconds of wonky CGI with the deer, it was more of how come the deer is still alive anyway in an enclosure full of walkers? Likewise reaching over far enough to grab someone standing on a car roof was beyond them. Can't remember where I read it, but the theory is as time passes the walkers are becoming weaker as they slowly die. Dunno, not the best of episodes. Still enjoy it though, even if it's not quite as sharp and clever as the earlier series.
