Ugh what a tit I am, noticed local store had stock of switch so rushed to reserve it and zelda at the same time and didnt realise till I got back and opened Zelda id ordered the bloody Wii U version was sat there thinking where does the disc go in the switch....

It was good fun day one purchase for me I sucked at the motion controls tho, maybe i should have practiced more.

It's basically a portable version of the original which isn't a bad thing! Roll on the release in august.
Keep it, it might be worth a few bob if the WiiU version of the game is as limited as some say it is (ala Twilight Princess Gamecube edition).
Also, while I'm not much into multiplayer FPS or Splatoon, it's nice to hear that people are loving it with motion controls. I've always said that the best control method for FPS on console is motion control. It gives you the precision of a mouse, even with something as unwieldy as a WiiU gamepad (makes bow controls so much more accurate on moving targets in Zelda).
The funny thing is, it's only going to get better for motion control players as a lot of people will see Splatoon as a 'serious multiplayer' game and buy a Pro controller for it. I.e. fewer will be using Joyconns for that game. Makes me think of the cross-platform games in the likes of GoW4, mouse+kb usually trumps controller.

Hopefully they have tweaked small things like not having to watch those 2 presenters every time you want to play the game etc. I enjoyed the first and the morion controls grew on me, i bashed it for that at first then realised its the way to play
It's natural to dislike change at first.

Yea! Especially on the Gamepad it just made it easier, and the nature of the game being to paint the environment made motion controls make more sense really

The pro controller has the same accelerometer and gyro as the joycons...
