Hmmm I tried 3DMark, SystemInfo collected system information fine. Are you used latest SystemInfo 5.0.609.0 released few weeks ago? I played many games just fine.

The creator's update is bugged as hell. So many issues with it. They had better get them sorted before April 14th. Currently it is not really fit for purpose.

April 14th???

You better get your PC sorted BEFORE April 11 when Creators Update official available on ISOs and Windows Update.

I have zero issues with Creators Update. :)

Wow just noticed I have first update downloaded from Windows Update.

I googled KB4016250 to find out it is cumulative update to build 15063.11 fixed few issues.

elite dangerous launcher no longer starts up
3d martk firestrike starts up but just sits trying to gather system information and never ends

these are my current issues with the update

and my memory seems to have died too, i already posted this.........

There is a known issue with the ed launcher where it will just stop working randomly after any Windows 10 update - reinstalling the Visual C++ runtimes and/or trying Windows 7/8 compatibility mode on the executable can help - from other people's reports it will often just randomly start working again after a subsequent Windows 10 update without compatibility mode, etc.

it seems i had the latest version installed but 3d mark about page said 0, downloaded it went to install system info and it asked me to remove it, so must have been installed but the creators update must have altered a setting 3d mark needed to know systeminfo was infact already installed.

After the install again its now picked up in 3dmark properly so presume it will work as it should now.

wonder if this is whats stopped elite launcher from working too.

will try the c++ option as compatability hasnt worked thus far

still no joy repaired the install for visual C++ and tried compatability mode too and in windows 8 mode it now stops responding, may have to re install launcher, will have to backup files as im on a slow connection.

I am debating on setting up my laptop from windows 7 to 10 to stream my xbox games, I cant always get on the big TV so is it worth it? The only game I will pay is fifa 17 so I hope it does not lag.

I've just took delivery of my new MSI GS63VR and I'm planning on installing the latest insider preview for a bit (build 15063) as I've read that it clears up most or if not all the common stuttering issues that occur with the laptop when running on the pre-installed Windows 10 build 1511 and later.

My new MSI laptop comes with Windows 10 build 1511 from factory and states it is already activated, therefore once I burn the preview ISO to a pen drive can I just then go ahead, wipe all the partitions on all drives and then do a fresh install & should it automatically activate the preview build with the Windows 10 licence that is tied with the laptop? Or will I have to install the preview version via Windows first? (So in effect via the upgrade method).

Many thanks - Liam.

A clean install should work fine. If you're really paranoid, you could add the device under your microsoft account if you sign in with it.

Thanks, I've just checked out my Microsoft account and my new MSI laptop is already showing on there - which makes sense as I did first sign into my Microsoft account when setting up the laptop this morning.

I gave the latest insider preview a whirl from scratch last night and everything seemed to of installed without a hitch, even the installation felt quicker than the older public build too. Sadly though not long afterwards I did experience a few glitches and the odd hang / stutter here and there (particularly when navigating within Windows' settings itself). This was even after installing the two very recent Windows updates released for it the other day.

For now I have done another wipe & fresh install of build 1607, so far so good when I had a quick go before work this morning - no hangs as far as I can see, and Windows appears to run that little bit smoother when compared to the preview release. It could well be a last minute driver glitch on the preview release which was causing the minor issues but I'll most likely wait this out until it's officially released & everything else ironed out.

Liam.
