*** Official Ryzen Owners Thread ***

No issues so far.

@Matt, I have been following your adventures closely with Ryzen, thanks.

So far I have used bios 0902 and 1002. I want to explore the memory further. I have Ripjaws V 3200 14-14-14-34 2N sticks 2 x 8Gb. I have them currently at 2666Mhz c16 very slack I know.

Looking at the list below, I assume that 0083 is the next bios to look at for these (2N = 2T ?)
Please discuss, thanks.

andy.

That was me who posted in the review section, good to get further confirmation from people that those Teamgroup RAM kits have Samsung B-die.

I gambled after finding reviews for 3000 and 3400 mhz kits of the same type which said they were Samsung.

well today 3rd memory kit i tried is on the way back. Finally gotten what i wanted 3200 cl14/14/14/34 @ 150 pounds. Only thing that stopped me from going for those day one was... Hynix all reviews i seen ware hynix

For 4 sticks of RAM (4x8GB) is it required to set higher SOC voltage (like above 1.1V) and memory voltage (like 1.4V) when running on maximum divider 2666? Just wondering where to look for instability of the system. I can run prime95 (small FFT) for >8hrs but RB is crashing usually around 1-2hr mark (with stress testing 32GB memory).

Just wonder what is experience of people who use 4x at 2666

From my overclocking hours of testing ect SOC 1.1 is perfect. Stable memory AND CPU . Remember that when u oc cpu SOC Voltage increases stability !!! Same as Vcore affects maximum memory speed You can get !!! Its all about balancing around what You want to run system at.

BTW. Yesterday again i had that ******* voltage bug.. Booted in to windows with 1.7 vcore and 1.6 on rams..................................... MORE DOTSSSSSSS. But in new bioses they apparently fixed random voltage overkill. Its all ok once set up but when u start playing around with voltages it happens. Second time in my case so far and hope its last time also :P

Love hearing all these slight performance increases with Ryzen its maturing slowly like a fine red wine left in the cellar :)

Here's my data;] (not sure if it's big enough to see the numbers). Maximum voltage is only when windows loads, max during prime is like current on the screenshot.

My view on temps I've marked on image ;) .

Grab app in this post ;) . Use option 2, my result. Be aware after a reboot the syncing goes :( , hopefully next set of UEFI they fix.

Thanks, I guess for 1700 5C is not that of a big deal compared to X cpus.

I expected a bit more from Asus fan control to be honest. Curves have what...like 3 points only to setup, no option to select GPU temps, no option to select other than CPU temps for all headers (only for chassis headers you can select other MB sensors only) etc:/ Not sure how it is on intel.

Air cooling so 2016 :P

Just flashed the latest CH6 bios. Getting my memory to run at anything above 3200 wasn't happening for me. I'm waiting for a higher memory divider. On the plus side this has allowed me to at least run cinebench at 4.0 whereas before it would hard crash. Half way through realbench at 4.0 if this passes then it's intel burn test. Currently at 1.45v with temps at 75c max on a h100i.
Quite pleased with how this platform is going.
@AMDMatt does the ryzen power plan remove the need for pstates of have i misunderstood it?

IBT max at 1.45 damn that AIO will boil :D:D With my custom loop and 1.418 its hitting 94 after few hours of torture tests :D ofc u gotta take 20c off that

It's WC here;p still... fan curves important to optimize performance/noise:)
I just run my fans @ 7 volts :D gaming in headset cant hear even washing machine spinning off in kitchen few meters away.
Gotta love Active noise cancelling headset :]

well 94 is max i seen after 8hours of realbench i fired up ibt max with warm water WOSHHHH :D

Afaik throttling starts pass 75c so thats 95 in my case so all good :D Since nothingputs more temperature than ibt max. Even Prime small number :D

It's just crashed lol back to [email protected].
From the short time i had it at 4.0 the difference was negligible. Just give me a higher ram divider and I'm happy :)

well as stated few times My 1700x is maxing stable at 3953-3953. So try 3950 at 1.42 and see if that works for You. What SoC u on ?? i was crashing at 1.06 full stable at 1.1 so look in there also :)
