They're a bit cheaper :p

Not used it on the bike yet, but despite being heavy and quite rigid, it sits so nicely on your body that you could wear it all day. You can't feel the armour either, so nice and soft.
£299-£799, which ones are you going to get?

Went to get petrol ready for the weekend. Took 30 mins :p

Still need to get more confidence with slow turns from standing, i.e. turning right off a main road into a side road. I think I just need to slip the clutch more, my triple can go pretty fast in 1st gear so I tend to get a bit jerky with the throttle :/ Perhaps some time spent in an empty carpark is due.

One bugger on my bike is that it's got the exact same turning circle as a daytona so the steering goes full lock pretty easily which really throws your balance on slow speed youies.
Yeah slipping the clutch is key, my Tuono is like that - if you released the clutch fully while turning under 10mph I'd be in the next road over!! And it's got a sportsbike steering lock too. If it's really slow turns I'll clutch in fully and just let it back out once I'm turned, obviously that's only good when you're moving before the turn.

Lean your body to the outside of the turn when you're going really slow, helps balance and you turn tighter. So bike is \ you want to be straight up | or even over to the right

I'll always remember I couldn't do the U turn prepping for my test, then the morning of my test I discovered this. The instructor kept finding me smaller and smaller roads and I kept U turning perfectly in them!

So serious question, how can the price be justified? My £160 jacket doesn't feel heavy and rigid, sits nicely on me and I do wear it all day without really feeling the armor.

My day today is written off to stripping the wheels, suspension linkage, brakes and anything else I find off and giving it all a proper clean and grease.

Got a few hours free tomorrow so might take a run up to Clee hill and Dom's.

Yep, bike washing day today (and fitting a new sprocket carrier bearing), then ride day tomorrow

One bike done - chain cleaned with paraffin, elbow grease for the wheels and mucky low down bits, magifoam snowfoam and meguiars shampoo and carnuba wax :D

The Magifoam stuff is excellent, I just need a better jetwash machine as ours is on it's way out.

Mid-way through washing the CB400, the rear wheel is off at the moment to replace the sprocket carrier bearing then it'll get finished off. Just having lunch before attacking the bearing.

I'll give the tank a rub down before doing picture as I'll be putting it up on ebay/gumtree today I think, fingers crossed I can get £1200 for it, £1k absolute minimum. Decent condition ones go for anywhere from £1800-£2500, if you can find one for sale!

Goretex, general quality, psi tested front zipper (used on diving suits), the general makeup is incredible. Probably the most comfortable jacket I've worn and feels really safe. I can feel it will be really warm in the summer.

However, it's going back. This is the 2XS, size 46 (EU) that I have and now that I've tried it on properly, it's probably slightly big in the chest (although not bad with the lining). The main reason it's going back is that the arms are slightly too short. I need like 1-2cm more, which would mean going 1-2 sizes up which are just insanely big.

Someone at Rukka or at SBS got the sizing of these completely wrong and for some reason they only go down to 46 which is still pretty fat size.

So if you have a massive chest and short arms, you'll be alright :P
