PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Finally had time to pick this up, used to play his arma 3 mod a lot.

6 hours game time nabbed me a chicken dinner, am well happy.

Seriously regreting not picking up the pre order, oh well :D

I had the Razer Nostromo, I broke buy spilling a bottle of Rum all over it in a drunken BF4 night.. absolutely brilliant for FPS games, I'm still struggling to adapt back to keyboard if I'm honest. Brilliant little thing, highly recommend it
 
Made it to 6 remaining in duo the other day, gets pretty intense with the small circle and still can't quite time when to move forwards / when to hold back as I always inevitably get shot in the back from someone outside the blue area :(
 
I keep getting into the final 5 but struggle to make it further. Need to work on out a strategy for the end. Everything I have tried so far hasn't worked.
Played duo for the first time last night, almost like playing a whole new game.
 
Personally, I try to get just inside the circle and stay there until I absolutely have to move (find camping extremely boring). Chug pills and drink even if youre not injured. Dont shoot at anyone who isn't a threat, when they run in you know their position and in all likelihood theyll be blasted by a camper - its easier to pick off the winner of a fight than be the one picked off - of course if you managed to get a silenced weapon that comes in mighty handy about now. Crawling in the wheat style fields is amazingly effective. But in all honesty there is a large dose of luck involved in whether the angle you come in at is observed.
 
I must have played 20-30 games yesterday - on EU servers and found no issue with lag at all

been a long time since I've felt so tense in a game - the feeling when you're in a house and you hear the door open downstairs and footsteps - fantastic
 
Yup, definitely a heavy dose of luck about winning.

In a way this game emphasises why what you see in the movies is ridiculous. Run around anywhere and you will get shot before you even know what's happening. Is there a realism mode where one or two shots drop you? It would be even worse!

Best idea in real life is to just lie down in a corner and hide with you back to the wall haha.

I only have a 7970 + i5 6400 but I get 40-60 fps on the lowest settings. Not great but you should be getting 60+ at all times with those specs. You've turned the settings down right?

if i turn my settings down I think its uses my cpu more and since im using stock cooler it gets too hot so underclocks i think
