Don't forget the four finger rule. Four or less fingers penetrated is okay; more than four, obscene and banned. I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall for that discussion, where a bunch of old duffers sit around a table discussing the arbitrary number of fingers which, when inserted into an orifice, is obscene.

It's hard to see a reality where the Tories aren't going to win this election. What it comes down to is ensuring they lose enough seats so they can't just push through ridiculous legislation uncontested.

That is when you get the website administration involved to outright ban them. Usually, the people who are this dedicated to internet harassment bring it to the real world, and then prosecution is fair game.

Yeah but TM wants us to waste public money trying to ban it. ISPs are going to have to block entire domains if a single squirting video is found...

Essentially it's going to end up being a blanket ban on porn sites, because porn sites aren't going to start filtering individual videos for the UK market. More trouble than the ad revenue from the UK is worth.

You're missing the point. In a few years these laws will be in place and a we'll be debating new set of even more draconian laws. It's a gradual creep that has been going on for years that needs to stop.

The "non-conventional" sex acts thing is just one of many examples of how poorly thought out the Gov Internet policy is.

How long has it been going on? I can't see the creep personally, i find the internet in this country to be wholly open and free to use, unless you want to search for child pornography or something, which, as we've established, i'm all for regulation on that part.

That's the point of gradually creeping more restrictions. So that your average person hopefully does not notice.

The RIPA, the IPA, getting rid of the Human Rights Act, banning some website content that some MP somewhere has decided is "bad". Etc etc etc etc.

Which would mean two scenarios.

1. The legislation was dropped because it was unworkable/stupid.
2. The legislation was unable to be enforced.

Either way, how is it good policy?

There won't be any creep here. If ISPs return block pages on porn sites, that will be very visible to all male voters!

Some things have a realistic prospect of succeeding and making a difference, some things are plainly just a waste of time. You've pretty much agreed already that this is the latter, by saying you're sure the ban won't be effective.
