Makes sense, 270k net immigration. How many houses is that per day? It won't be a house per person but it's certainly a shed load. We already have a housing problem, it's just making it worse.
I can't see how planning permission is to blame, when around me dozens and dozens of green fields have been turned into housing in the last few years, with many, many more green fields now being built on as we speak. There are about 5 large-scale housing
despite that the majority of land can not get planning permission and therefore jack up the price of land massively.
and its not like I haven't said introduce other regulations like renters rights. it has to be a multi prong approach. But planning permission is absolutely and issue and not just land prices. Planning permission also means you have to build expensive in efficient houses, trough various rules.
and I still think you need to go read up on what the tiny house movement is, as you don seem to know.
