Shut down last night, no issues. Moved by PC however as I was building a new desk. No sign of life at all on plugging it back in, no power light, no lights on the GPU indicating power, nothing at all.

So swapped the PSU around and it didn't fix it. Googled and found this -

http://www.overclock.net/t/1628906/solved-gigabyte-ax370-gaming-5-died-spontaneously-in-the-night

...which worked for me. CMOS battery out for 10 mins with 24/8 pin connectors unplugged.

I have been using HWinfo, but a newer version than the one referenced there. Guess time will tell if it happens again...

I'm hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on an issue i have with the CH6 flashback utility. At the moment i am on 1403 but would like to go back to 9945.
Have done the following with no success at all:

Formatted a 16gb usb drive with Fat32
Copied 9945 to the usb drive
Renamed the bios C6H.CAP
Shut computer down.
Plugged the usb drive into the designated bios usb port
Press and hold the bios button until it flashes.

After it has flashed about 5 times the bios button stays a solid blue and no flash is happening. It's supposed to keep flashing until the bios has been flashed.

Any idea's what i may be doing wrong ?

My 1700 build.

Identical to mine barring the cooler and case. Nice.

When I did mine, the bios flashback did not flash continually but the usb stick did. Once I saw the stick flashing furiously I walked away and came back in 10 mins.
Do you have a stick with an activity light?

Yes it has got an activity light. I was wondering if it was because it's a usb3 stick ? Maybe a usb2 might be a better bet ?

Just found an old 4gb cruzer stick that i think is usb2. Formatted it in Fat rather than Fat32 so will give that a go in a bit.
Also if you used before specific flash drive as Windows installation drive, even after you format it to fat it won't work. It needs better cleaning.

It's an old 4gb usb stick, so it has never been used to install windows from. What do you mean by "better cleaning" ?

I was thinking about your previous flash drive. By better cleaning I was thinking maybe some partitioning software. Old flash drive should be fine. I used myself drive like this as the other one was used for Windows and didn't work :/

You were spot on haszek. Repartitioned the 4gb drive using windows disk management. Deleted the old partition, created a new fat32 partition of 500mb. copied the bios to it. Shut down and put the stick in the bios usb slot, pressed the bios button and i am now back to 9945..................................................happy days and many thanks :D

Nice one, I found 1403 to be worse than the previous ones also. Bless flashback!

Hmmmmmm...

Been running for a few days now and mostly been going OK.

But today was couple of points where mouse locked up briefly a few times.

Once when opening acronis true image (which it never done before), and once when importing images from usb/sd adapter (which it never done before).

Seems still in typical ryzen land - fine for a few days then start doing weird ****.

Yep, given 1403 more than enough of my time, it's a large pile of very unstable doggie droppings.
Booted straight into 9945 with my 4 sticks at 3200 without having to constantly re-boot, having re-loaded my 3.8ghz stable settings.
First time i have used the bios flashback though but glad that it does actually work.
At least now i can safely flash any new bios and go back to 9945 if it's pants :D

Yep, I found it invaluable. 1403 my memory was so unstable it would crash loading bf1. 1401 I can pass HCI @ 3000% lol.
I don't know what they are doing over there.

Tried every trick under the sun to force 3466 RAM today and it's just not happening. Went up to 1.5 DRAM and 1.25v SOC (know that's not advised) just to try for a boot at 18-18-18-36 2T and didn't work.

Buy some of that 8pack ram that allows every ryzen to hit 3466 :D
Seriously though you may have hit the wall of you cpu.

These 8 Pack DIMMS are fine. Got mine @ 3333 CL14. Had to bump the volts a little to make em completely stable but there are now (1.4v). Tighten some sub timings too trc and 4 bank (can't recall its name now) as there where a little high.

Ok, now take them to the claimed 3466/3600 as it is so easy to do
