*** Nintendo Switch ***

Splatoon 2 downloaded , that's my hour dinner time sorted :D

How much is it to download on the Nintendo online store? I can't seem to find the digital version on the website?

I'd ordered a copy from Zavvi but it's still down as awaiting stock so it doesn't look like it'll arrive this weekend. Last time I pre-order a game from them!

If you put a little work in you can get it for about £46 on the eshop. Its £49.99 but you can buy 2 x £25 credit for £48 from cdkeys and then use their 5% off facebook code if you haven't used it twice already.

I was really struggling with the motion controls at first but now I'm getting used to them and its great fun. I love the style of movement most in this game. Gliding through the ink is so much fun and adds a new dimension to the gameplay.

So my Switch arrived and it might be doa. It powers on, says battery at 53%, it looks like a home screen pops up for a split second and then it turns off. This is while plugged into the mains. Anyone else experience something similar?

//edit pretty sure it's fubared. The battery reports at 53% regardless of how long it's been charging and it switches off just after the Switch logo appears in normal and restore boot. Back to the rainforest and likely another few months of waiting :/

Bomberman is nice for non-gamers as it takes a lot less skill to enjoy the game. Snipperclips has also been popular amongst my friends, and I am looking forward to overcooked.

I find the pro controller is very important for any game relying on the dpad such as Shovel Knight, and for when Nintendo make typically idiotic decisions such as not allowing you to choose button controls for ARMS if you are using separated joy cons.

For any game with motion controls the separate joy cons are a lot better, and they will give a huge advantage on Splatoon.
You still use motion controls even in handheld mode ?

Just payed 49.99 for it , i would have been paying 47 from Amazon but not too fussed I've got 3 cartridges now don't want to get too many haha

I turned the sensitivity up to pretty much max and that has made things a bit easier. Taking some time to get used to it though. Not bad at popping balloons, not so good at popping people online.

Screw it. Cancelled the Zavvi order and I'll buy a copy from my local store or online if that's cheaper.

It's on their website as being sold out now but it wasn't when I ordered a few days ago :(

When you play competitive fps games on pc , do you have high sensitivity or low?

Can't get my head around having max sens for everything will help haha

Low, but this is nothing like using a mouse in terms of motion, just in terms of accuracy and speed of turning.

Played the SP for a couple of hours trying to get used to motion and I'm getting on with it better than I thought I would. Still not totally comfortable with it but getting there. I will persevere. Splatoon is awesome and I don't want to stop playing on. Had a couple of turf wars and did ok. Another great game for the Switch.

Just back from a Mario Kart session at a mate's with a few beers, they were amazed that little thing just plugs in the TV. Great to be able to just stuff it in a bag.

Need to get me one of those travel docks though, no need for that giant plastic thing and means I can just leave that plumbed in at home.
