Quite an extreme example lol, whats an elise ~700kg (guessing here) vs double that for a fiesta. Its a shame the 4 seats lotus's (i) weight a ton literally like the evora. It's not really the full looks. The ST still gets unique bumpers afaik.
Yea it's amazing how much of a difference weight makes. 125hp in an old Lotus Elise feels like a rocket. But 125hp even in a modern Fiesta is annoyingly slow. Though power delivery does play a part too I suppose, sporty engines build revs a lot quicker.
They are removing the 1.0 125bhp engine and 1.5 150bhp engine from the ST-Line and ST Line X manuals and replacing it with the 1.0 140 bhp engine...
Good move I think. They are removing the 1.0 125bhp engine and 1.5 150bhp engine from the ST-Line and ST Line X manuals and replacing it with the 1.0 140 bhp engine...
1.5 150/180ps is pointless as they do same mpg as real ST but less power
Depends what your used to. I found the 125hp Fiesta really slow. In a Focus it would just be gutless. But them I'm used to driving performance cars.
Are you totally sure it was the 125bhp version of the 1.0T? Cos you're the only one who found this....
There's at least four different versions of the 1.0T.
Agree with fiesta as I find ours more fun, although not as fast, to drive as my A3 was. Just so much more feedback from the controls...Tbh every single variation of the 1.0t I've driven has been pretty good, Focus or Fiesta. Even the 100ish bhp variant was a nicer car to drive than our NA fiesta with the same sort of power.
What like the GT86?![]()
Slower than the average North American pickup.
(Although to be fair the 2018 pickups are now at sub 6 second 0-60 so they'll thrash most hot hatches as well. That with a 2.7 or 3.6l ecoboost)
Those pickups are mostly quite crap, except for the engine lol
