UFC 215 just got more watchable, MM Vs Borg scrapped.

In all seriousness that card was shaping up to be awesome what with JDS and Nganou(sp) but now it looks pretty dire. Good luck selling that on PPV, lowest sales ever?

I see someone has already been at Wikipedia :p https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_215

"On September 8th Dana White announced that the PPV buys will double that of UFC 205"

I honestly didn't think he'd make it through the Mayweather Vs Conor press conferences the way his head was like a radish during the presentations. His blood pressure must be constantly high.

Sport is becoming a joke...

Nunes holds her fingers out 24/7, gets a warning, still does it and no point taken at all. Shev beat her standing and did more damage off her back in the 5th round then Nunes did from top.

None of this matters however as Shev should have won that fight from the point deduction, but instead gets robbed by a terrible ref and takedown points being complete b/s.

I'll tune in for the big name fights but this sport can eat my backside for everything else.

Tell me about it, what a joke. also did you see Jeremy stephens v Gilbert melendez? at one point stephens kicked melendez to the floor and was gonna pounce on him and the ref got in the way as if to stop it, didnt, then stephens had too push him out the way to get to melendez.

on the plus side Dos anjos looked awesome, destroyed magny

Can't even remember the last time that the judges called a fight correctly. Need new judges or something to replace them.

The only rounds Nunes won were due to takedowns aswell! Both of which lead to absolutely nothing! She's the lion guys  fierce and dangerous.

The judges change every event anyway don't they? Selected by whatever commission has sanctioned the event?

Yeah but there are only a handful of judges and a lot of the commissions use the same ones. Cecil Peoples for example is by far the worst judge, he will always score against the winner lmfao, swear he is a troll.

Tbh the Stephens/Gilbert fight I spent most of it tilted and not paying attention at the fact Stephens would drop into his guard every single time he kicked his legs out almost. Just keep forcing him to stand and kick his legs out until the ref rules it a TKO!

There a clip of the ref derping?

Much as I wanted Shevchenko to win I thought she was far too tentative in the first 3 rounds for a challenger - neither fighter did much but Nunes was the more active and came forward the entire fight! (in my experience the challenger has to work harder than a champion to take a decision!)

I'd have given R4 to Valentina with her effective counter striking and even R5 since Nunes did absolutely nothing with the ground control but even then I'd have scored it 3 to 2 in Nunes' favour! Although I do concede that Nunes should have had a point taken away for the finger waving/poking!

It does annoy me that judges seem to feel that they have to score a round one way or another - what's wrong with scoring it a draw unless there is a clear winner???

The whole judging system needs to be looked at, there's been so many BS calls the last few years and they always seem to give it to the champion, i understand the "you have to beat the champion" bit, but at the same if the title wasnt on the line would she still have won?

Haven't found one, but I think i was round 2

Yeah, it was always gonna come back positive as it was taken the same time as the A sample, they should throw the book at him now he should get a full 4 years, and daniel cormier should sue
