Intel to launch 6 core Coffee Lake-S CPUs & Z370 chipset 5 October 2017

Preordered the 8700k with OCUK, hope it comes this month my nephew is waiting for his DDR3 from my current system!

8 pack said systems and binned chips first. Retail and OEM at a later date. Or something along those lines.

This, we had 30pc 8700K, we put them under regular stock, we would have sold 300pc in a few minutes and not be able to fulfill, as such listed as pre-order with an expected date of end of October, of course they may come sooner. Those 30 units are allocated to binned CPU's and systems only until Intel can improve upon supply.

Intel are launching a promotion on 6700K and 7700K with two triple AAA titles FREE which goes live very soon, as in about an hours time and with 7700K at £319 is quite attractive.

7700K at £299 is quite attractive.

That's the worst salesman talk I've heard come out of your keyboard in ever, 7700K at £299 is £100 over priced, even with two free games, unless they are £50 each on Steam.

Sorry if that seems harsh, but it's fact. :(

ocuk had 30pcs of 8700K. website shows 10+ stocks for 5Ghz and 8 for 5.1Ghz. So I can only assume at least 18 out of 30 (more than 60%) can do 5Ghz or above.

Has anyone found some i5 8400 benchmarks, seems like the only sensible pricing
Anandtech's review puts the 8400 faster than the 8700K in many of the gaming benchmarks, which is weird...

Even in the ones that the 8700K wins, it's only by a frame or two. Throttling going on?

Was just thinking the exact same thing, Gibbo enjoy that punch from 8Pack :D

Other e-trailers listing the dates 20th for stock but could obviously be another 30. Is that MSI Godlike price a mistake or they have gone insane?

Well i got a i5 8600k and Maximus X Hero (non Wifi). Im happy as ill just get the 8700k on pre order and then build the i5 chip into the "Family" PC. Good work for anyone that actually got a 8700k though.

Put on order down for the 8600k hopefully it goes through will be a decent upgrade from my 3570k. Now to find a motherboard and RAM.

the chance of getting a bad one (<5Ghz) is actually much slimmer than getting a good one (5Ghz+) from retail channel LOL
