Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

Reviews looking good, trying to get this for a decent price digitally because it's play anywhere, £55 in the UK :(

Read a few reviews...I tend to ignore the silly scores given by smaller sites but IGNs just seems way off with what others are saying. This lootbox issue needs hammering.

Apparently, only the paid loot boxes offer legendary orc's. The ones you can get free/buy with in game currency only go up to epic. You can get legendary orc's in the game world but it's a hell of a grind. and they're needed for act 4 and the true ending. Think it was TotalBiscuit tweet I saw.

I am still buying it so shall see, sometimes things are overblown. Waited a while for this. Not going digital anymore so if it is bad then CEX will have my copy after I get as far as I can be bothered to grind.

Ye, I loved the first one and wanted more stuff to do so it should be ok. Depends how extreme it is of a grind. I play Destiny so I'm used to it.

Regarding the loot boxes, I just think of everything that could have been in the actual game 'you buy' if they hadn't introduced them and it make me sad. Oh well.

Well this lootbox thing has changed this from a must buy for me. Won't be picking this up at all now, really is a disgrace and publisher's just seem to be getting worse these days.

Its depressing that this is where all major games are heading. I really don't like any sort of micro-transactions in any games but when they do it in full price games its a joke. I can stomach paid DLC and at a push I can stomach cosmetic items as micro-transactions but when they allow you an advantage in game I don't like it.

I don't mind micro-transactions and loot boxes limited to single player, that's then simply the player's decision whether they want to gain an advantage over the CPU, it's when it bleeds over into multiplayer that I think it's really crummy business practice. Everybody on multiplayer should start at a level playing field, at least on day one, and let skill be the difference between players, not the desire or ability to spend money on loot boxes.

Mine has been despatched. Not bothered by the loot box thing, I won't be buying any. If it's more of the same as the last game then that just makes me more excited to play it as the first one was brilliant.

Damn, I'm a bit jelly if I'm honest... I pre-ordered digital so stuck with the proper release date.:(

Lol sorry. It's worth the wait...I actually didn't think of the first one but I'm enjoying this one. It seems to be a bit ropey visually at times...still havent seen any micro transactions lol.
