What have you done to your car today?

Very brisk roof down drive to work this morning, down the motorway when it’s 3 Celsius is quite a way to wake yourself up for a day in the office :p

Yeah, or just any kinda of build up on one that's not on the others.

Had another go tonight with a T handle borrowed from work - got the coil pack off but then had to admit defeat again as my extension bar wasn't long enough to reach the spark plugs :(

I give up and will get it booked in :(

Ah nuts. I had a similar issue with a friend's clio recently. To get a bar of sufficient length meant it was too wide.

MOT day for me too. Also passed with 0 advisories, which means 3 years in a row with 0 advisories. Not bad considering it's now ticked over 157k miles :)

Scraped an alloy and the underpanel getting the car up a kerb and out of the road to assist at an RTC this evening. Everyone was alright though thank Christ, looked very nasty, so silver lining and all that!

Got my renewal through, not only it is cheaper than last year, it is cheaper than their quote online by £140 and cheaper than the cheapest quote on Moneysupermarket.

Yes please.

Nice. I just got one of my local Audi dealers to investigate a annoying rattling noise coming from the drivers side door, which has been going on for 6+ months. Turns out it was the window regulator (or a screw for it or something) that was a bit loose so they tightened it up - so far so good and the noise has gone. Covered under warranty.

Then the oil change was due, so £93.71 for longline oil, £4 drain plug, £10 filter and what looks like £96 for labour etc. With VAT added on set me back £245. :o

When you bought yours, did they advise you on the age/mileage of the Haldex and/or if it needed replacing and when?

Called up and said "could you do any lower?, it's £360, can you round it down to £350?"

Operator "Let me check the system…okay, I can offer it for £327."

me trying to sound not too excited about car insurance "let's do it, that's fine." :D

Exhaust is leaking.

Anyone know how much a custom exhaust fabricator would charge for the following?

Remove section of exhaust (easy nuts and bolts)
Bend it slightly to better mate up with downpipe (to stop leaking donut gasket)
Weld on flanges to pipe and rest of exhaust to connect.

I'm expecting approx £150, but need some ideas before I go down an embarrass myself due to my shocking DIY job.

Yeah...I don’t have it on the current one.

My old one had it...I think there is a haldex Service you do at some point but I’m talking like maybe 60k miles + (or I could be talking ********). :o

£100 or so will be about right depending how much time they'll need to spend on it

Bought a bit of "BMW" plastic for £153.
