What a useless excuse of an opponent, no interest whatsoever in getting in shape or winning, simply turned up for his half a million dollars.

Why would Wilder refuse 4 million to fight Whyte and instead accept 1.5 million to fight this sack of potatoes? Surely hes confident of blasting Whyte out of there in no time? Wilders opposition to date are an embarrassment.

Presumably because he thinks Hearn will pay him more and tbf, he might well do. Hearn doesn’t want to put the Joshua/Wilder fight on until Wilder has had some exposure over here - the Whyte fight will make the Joshua fight worth so much more.

Usually I would agree but I'm sure this was a mandatory (Somehow Stiverne was 2 in the WBC rankings) and it's not fault that both Povetkin and now Ortiz were juicing.

I like Wilder, he is entertaining and his technique is lacking but he really knocks people out
 
Stiverne just didn't look in shape or up for a fight at all.

Anyone else notice how he just looked at the floor when the ref brought them together?
 
So Wilder fought Fraudley Garrison's American cousin :o

I watched the slow-mo replay of the punches with additional Sky slow-mo and he's not just wild in name but very wild in nature, but I guess he won't be that poor against AJ. Having said that he looks a lot more agile and sharper than AJ so I reckon it's not as straight forward as we think.

Anyone watch the Porter fight before it? What a great tear-up that was!
 
Don’t listen to a word that comes out of Wilder mouth. He doesn’t want the AJ fight and everyone in boxing knows it. He will give it large, but then start pricing himself out of it, throwing in stipulations and generally doing anything he can to get out of it. He could have taken the Ortiz fight, Ortiz was not juicing, he was on a beta blocker that has never caused any issues at all in the sport of boxing. He just didn’t want it. He’d rather spend his career fighting chumps and being protected by the joke of an organisation that is the WBC. They’ll do anything to ensure a US champ.

If they did ever by some miracle fight, AJ would take him apart. That windmill style will get him battered. As soon as he’s teeing one off, AJ will be putting one straight down his pipe, and Wilder is glass jawed. Molina hit him and he reacted badly, looked in trouble and eventually won in the tenth. Look what AJ did to Molina. This fight wouldn’t even be close, Wilder knows that and that’s why it’ll never happen. The WBC have now decided his next mandatory would be the winner between Brezeale and Molina, which Brezeale won. More protection from the We Be Crooks gang.

I too think AJ takes Wilder apart... But It depends how good Joshua can take Wilders shots and if he did he would need to come in a lot lighter as I think Wilder probably has better energy reserves.


But then I watch that and I realise how daft i sound.
 
Lol that video is comedy gold. Don’t know if it’s the power or the sheer volume that overwhelmes the lesser opponents he faces. Just look at some of those wild swings. Joshua would uppercut the fool into next week.

How does a guy that hasn't fought in 2 years (his one fight in 2015 a decision against Rossy!) end up been a mandatory. The WBC has to sort its self out as it is a joke right now. Wilder has been unlucky with missing 2 good fights due to cheats (maybe with Ortiz), but if he doesn't get a good opponent in the ring he will go down as the worst paper champion in the history of the HW division.

Wilder still wont fight him, and whats worse, the WBC wont order it even though he's the mandatory. They have chosen Brezeale instead. Mind you, Brezeale's a tough cookie, it took AJ a while to get him out of there. Will be a decent yardstick to compare him to AJ.

I'd say AJ carried Brezeale a little in that fight. But yeah Brezeale is no joke and Wilder should be getting in with him.
 
Miller come in at 283lbs. If that's close to his fighting weight he's one big guy.

Just watched his public session and his thighs are like the average mans midrift.
