**** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Thread ****

So I left my Gear S3 disconnected the battery lasted exactly the same time which is very interesting indeed

I don't know of another App that shows process information to the same level of detail that OS monitor does. However I'd suggest installing GSam Battery Monitor although you may need to tweak the permissions for 'More Stats' using ADB to get full details of each activity using the battery. If you're not familiar with it ADB is really easy to use but does require a little bit of preparation.

I use Nova launcher that was crashing yesterday and today so I've reinstalled it see if that helps.

I rang Samsung they said to do a factory reset.

My phone was from 3 so it had thier firmware on it is it worth flashing to BTU?

I reinstalled the Samsung Gear app and Nova launcher last night and battery has improved dramatically came home with 50% left after a working day with the Gear S3 connected via Bluetooth

Well it was nice while it lasted but already beginning to see signs of my battery drain curse, usage seems to drop the battery noticeably (not a lot but definitely enough to notice). Still a great phone though and there are more tweaks I could probably do.

Picked up a note 8 a few days ago. Decided to send my iPhone x back today after using both for a while. Just love the screen size too much and the iPhone feels tiny in comparison.

So, ordered a Note 8 from Samsung UK Site for £619.76 delivered (plus £18.59 quidco tracked already), can pay outright or get 24 months interest free, this is not the Upgrade Program.

They have an offer on, trade in any iPhone (lowest is iPhone 4) and they will knock off £149 off the price (https://www.samsung.com/uk/samsung-switch/)

they also have another offer, if you use Samsung Recycle, they give you £100 voucher to use on a Galaxy Phone (https://www.samsungrecycle.co.uk/)

these offers can be stacked and works.

Now once you submit the Samsung Recycle Quote, they send you the voucher straight away, so looks like you can use it without actually sending your old phone to recycle.

Of course you will need an old iphone for the Samsung Switch offer. Even buying one for £30 from ebay, it still works out good. fyi you 100% need to send in the iphone as the T+C say they will take legal action.

Only T+C for the £100 voucher is: "Voucher code provided when any device is traded in on samsungrecycle.co.uk. If the trade in does not proceed for any reason, the voucher code may not be used" (https://www.samsungrecycle.co.uk/voucher-terms-and-conditions), oh and you cant stack the £100 vouchers, i tried lol

Lets see what happens, rather happy with this deal

Sod it, went for it, cheers

Got an old iPhone 4s 16GB which I'll use for the £149 discount.

Got a 5s as well which is aligned to the £100 voucher and they'll give me £70 for that as well, if it doesn't get lost in the post that is...
